摘要: An automated child safety unlocking system for automobiles which disengages the child safety locks and unlocks the doors at appropriate times during events such as vehicle crashes. The vehicle ECU continually monitors the status of the vehicle to check if a crash event has occurred via various methods such as the status of airbag deployment, accelerometers placed in the car, and crumple points. In the event of a crash the vehicle ECU transmits one of at least two CSL command signals a child safety lock ECU. The command signals are each specific to an event severity and event type, and the child safety lock ECU then interprets the signal and acts according to the signal type. If the data interpreted indicates a crash, the child safety lock ECU unlocks the child safety locks, and if it does not determine a crash has not occurred, the locks remain engaged.

摘要: A powered latch system for a door of a vehicle including a latch assembly, actuatable inside and outside handles, a powered actuator and a door controller that causes the powered actuator to unlatch the latch assembly upon actuation of the inside and outside door handles. The latch assembly may be mechanically unlatched by a user within a vehicle interior even if the powered actuator does not actuate due to a loss of electrical power or other failure. The controller can be programmed to unlatch the latch assembly according to various criteria as required to meet the specific requirements of different markets.

One method receives data from an occupant classification system and sets a touch detection threshold of a touch-sensing device based on the received data. The method may be used to discriminate between an adult touch and a child touch and to selectively allow access to control functionality to adults and not to children.

摘要: A fuel door and a sliding door are on the same side of a vehicle. The sliding door has power locking and power child locking. To prevent the sliding door from interfering with the fuel door during refueling, a lock controller responds to the fuel door moving to the open position by 1) preserving a current outside locked or unlocked state and a current inside locked or unlocked state of the sliding door, 2) initiating or maintaining the outside locked state and inside locked state, and 3) after the fuel door moving to the closed position, restoring or maintaining the preserved current outside locked or unlocked state and the preserved current inside locked or unlocked state.

摘要: In a first aspect, the invention is directed to a closure latch for a vehicle closure panel, having at least three lock states all of which are achieved using a single control member. The control member may be movable to at least three positions to achieve the lock states. A single motor may be used to move the control member between the positions. In a second aspect, the invention is directed to a closure latch that is movable to a safety locking position, wherein the inside and outside door levers are disabled and wherein the pawl is prevented from releasing the ratchet. The safety locking position may be used when the vehicle controller senses an impending crash or that a crash is occurring as a way of inhibiting inadvertent opening of the vehicle closure panel (eg. a vehicle door). After the crash, if it is desired to exit the vehicle, structure may be provided that permits an occupant to move the inside door lever once to move the pawl blocking member to the pawl unblocking position and a second time to open the vehicle closure panel.

摘要: A motor-vehicle lock with an adjusting element, which is adjustable about an adjusting element axis, and a drive for the adjustment of the adjusting element, the drive having a rotor, formed by the adjusting element, with a permanent magnet arrangement and a stator with a coil arrangement-comprising at least two coils, and the drive being designed in the manner of a direct drive. It is proposed that the stator has at least two poles, by way of which a magnetic field generated by the coil arrangement is made to pass, in that at least one pole of the stator reaches up to the rotor to within a gap which in cross section is essentially in the form of a segment of a ring, and in that the poles of the stator are magnetically coupled by way of a conducting arrangement running around the rotor with respect to the adjusting element axis.
