    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method, system, apparatus and non-transitory computer readable media for propagating placement constraints and isolation requirements, from user intents and operator policies to constituents of user requested network slices (NwSs) and communication services (CSs). The method comprises decomposing the user intents and the operator policies into functionalities corresponding to the constituents of the requested NwSs and CSs. and storing the functionalities in a solution map (SM) model. The method comprises propagating the placement constraints to the functionalities in the SM model. The method comprises propagating the isolation requirements to the functionalities in the SM model. The method comprises deploying constituent virtual network functions (VNFs) and physical network functions (PNFs) of the NwSs and CSs, according to the corresponding functionalities of the SM model.

    Abstract: Provided is a system for facilitating recovery of deleted computing resources in a cloud network environment. A centralized resource recovery service may communicate with a plurality of resource management services that are each configured to create, modify, or delete their respective computing resources such as storage volumes, databases, and compute instances. The resource recovery service may allow configuration of resource group policies such that deletion of grouped resources can be managed more effectively and efficiently. For example, in the event that a deleted resources matches multiple resource retention rules, the resource retention rule that encompasses multiple resource types may be used to place the deleted resource in a recoverable state so that resources of such multiple resource types can be managed according to the same resource retention.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed herein to identify and deploy policy changes from a policy source in a wireless communication network to enforcement points in the network based on trends identified by the policy source in KPIs reported by the enforcement points. In an implementation, enforcement points in the network report KPIs to the policy source. The KPIs are related to authorization attempts made by user equipment in the network. The policy source, upon receiving the KPIs, identifies a trend in the KPIs and identifies a policy change based on the KPIs. The policy source then deploys the policy change to the enforcement points. In various implementations, the policy source is a Policy Decision Point (PDP), and the enforcement points are Policy Enforcement Points (PEPs).

    Abstract: Techniques for policy-based connection provisioning using Domain Name System (DNS) requests are described herein. The techniques may include receiving policy data associated with one or more headend nodes that manage connections to computing resources. Additionally, the techniques may include receiving a DNS request from a client device to establish a connection between the client device and a first headend node of the one or more headend nodes. The DNS request may include an attribute associated with the client device. A provisioning service may determine that the connection should be established between the client device and the first headend node based at least in part on evaluating the attribute with respect to the policy data. Additionally, the techniques may include sending an internet protocol (IP) address, which is associated with the first headend node, to the client device to facilitate establishment of the connection.

    Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method for defining policies for a container cluster that is configured by a first software defined network (SDN) controller cluster. A second SDN controller cluster for defining service policies that are not defined by the first SDN controller cluster receives, from a set of one or more adapters deployed in the container cluster for the second SDN controller cluster, resource identifiers for several resources of the container cluster. The second SDN controller cluster uses the resource identifiers to define a set of service policies. Then, the second SDN controller cluster distributes the set of service policies to a set of network elements to enforce the set of service policies on data messages associated with machines deployed in the container cluster configured by the first SDN controller cluster.
