摘要: A separation disc for a centrifugal separator and a method for manufacturing the separation disc are disclosed. The separation disc is of metal material and adapted to be compressed in a stack of separation discs inside a centrifugal rotor for separating a liquid mixture. The separation disc has a truncated conical shape with an inner surface and an outer surface and a plurality of spacing members extending a certain height above at least one of the inner surface and the outer surface for providing interspaces between mutually adjacent separation discs in the stack. The spacing members are of such small size that each one of them has a width which is less than 2 mm along the surface of the separation disc. The surface of the separation disc is configured with a distribution pattern of the small-sized spacing members, in such a way as to provide equidistant interspaces in the compressed disc stack.

摘要: A centrifugal separator includes a frame and a drive member configured to rotate a rotating part in relation to the frame around an axis of rotation. The rotating part includes a centrifuge rotor closing a separation chamber. The separation chamber includes a stack of separation discs arranged coaxially around the axis of rotation at a distance from each other such as to form passages between each two adjacent separation discs. The stack of separation discs includes a first type of separation discs having an outer diameter of A or below, and at least one separation disc of a second type having outer diameter B or above, wherein diameter B is larger than diameter A. At least one of the separation discs of the second type is arranged at a position in the disc stack that is within the upper 15% of the total number of separation discs and at least one of the first type of separation disc is arranged axially above the uppermost separation disc of the second type.

The plurality of separation discs having spot-formed spacing members are arranged so that a majority of said spot-formed spacing members of a disc are displaced compared to the spot-formed spacing members of an adjacent disc. A centrifugal separator including such a stack of separation discs is also disclosed.

The oil separator includes a dome portion (sectioning member) that covers from an outside of the housing the gas discharge portion and sections a closed space around the gas discharge portion and an outlet pipe (second exhaust portion) that is provided to the dome portion and that discharges the blow-by gas from the closed space that is sectioned by the dome portion.

The centrifuge rotor includes a stack of conical disks, and has a central axis of rotation. Each conical disk has an outward surface and an inward surface. The system may comprise a gravity concentrator/centrifugal separator [10] having a cone [30], rotor housing shell [20], and water jacket [40]. At least one detector [34] may be provided to at least one of the cone [30], rotor housing shell [20], and water jacket [40]. At least one integrated or handheld sensor [60] may be provided adjacent to portions of the gravity concentrator/centrifugal separator [10], the sensor [60] being configured to communicate (e.g., wirelessly) with the at least one detector [34] during operation of the gravity concentrator/centrifugal separator [10]. In use, the cone [30] may wear away and ultimately affect a function of the least one detector [34]. In use, pressure changes within the water jacket [40] may change and ultimately affect a function (e.g., an output signal) of the least one detector [34]. The at least one sensor [60] may be configured to monitor said function(s) of the least one detector [34]. When the at least one sensor [60] detects a change in the signal of the at least one detector [34], an operator or control system may be notified that maintenance or cone [30] replacement may be necessary; and/or an operator or control system may be notified that one or more operational inputs may need to be adjusted to obtain peak performance of the gravity concentrator/centrifugal separator [10].

摘要: The invention relates to a disc package for a centrifugal separator and a centrifugal separator provided with a disc package comprising a first set of separation discs and a second set of separation discs. Each separation disc of the first and second sets are provided with a separation surface with is inclined with respect to the radial direction. 摘要: A rotor separates oil mist from a target gas. This rotor includes a separation disk group having separation disks including a plurality of truncated cone shape plate members layered. The separation disk group includes a first space (hollow part with attachment opening) and a second space (gaps between separation disks), the first space formed on a rotation center side of the rotor and the second space formed between separation disks that are laid over and in communication with the first space. The first space contains an oil introducing portion (gap between the upper end of the spindle and the upper side sealing member). Target gas is introduced into the first space, target gas and oil introduced from the oil introducing portion are made to flow from the first space to the second space to be discharged outward from an outer peripheral edge of the separation disk group, while rotating the rotor.

The centrifugal separator includes a rotor rotatably arranged inside a stationary housing. The stationary housing includes an inlet for crankcase gases, a gas outlet, and a liquid outlet. The rotor includes a stack of separation discs, each separation disc of the stack of separation discs having a center axis, an inner surface, and an outer surface. A circumferential inner end surface extends between the inner surface and the outer surface. The circumferential inner end surface of at least one separation disc of the stack of separation discs includes a substantially flat first surface portion extending at an angle of at least 20 degrees to the center axis.
