    摘要: A centrifugal separator and a method for separation of particles from a gas stream is disclosed. The separator includes a frame, a gas inlet and a gas outlet. A centrifugal rotor is arranged to be rotatable in the frame around a rotational axis and includes a plurality of separation plates defining separation passages between the plates. A central gas chamber in the rotor communicates with a radially inner portion of the separation passages and the gas outlet. A space surrounding the rotor communicates with a radially outer portion of the separation passages and the gas inlet. A device is configured to bring the gas stream in rotation upstream of the rotor. The centrifugal rotor is configured such that the rotational flow of the gas mixture drives the rotation of the centrifugal rotor for separating particles from the same gas stream being conducted from the space surrounding the rotor, through the separation passages between the plates and towards the central gas chamber.

    摘要: A centrifugal separator includes a frame and a drive member configured to rotate a rotating part in relation to the frame around an axis of rotation. The rotating part includes a centrifuge rotor enclosing a separation chamber. The separation chamber includes a stack of separation discs arranged coaxially around the axis of rotation at a distance from each other such as to form passages between each two adjacent separation discs. The stack of separation discs includes a first type of separation discs having an outer diameter of A or below, and at least one separation disc of a second type having outer diameter B or above, wherein diameter B is larger than diameter A. At least one of the separation discs of the second type is arranged at a position in the disc stack that is within the upper 15% of the total number of separation discs and at least one of said first type of separation disc is arranged axially above the uppermost separation disc of the second type.

    摘要: A centrifuge rotor for a centrifugal separator for separation of a relatively heavy phase of a fluid from a relatively light phase of the fluid is disclosed. The centrifuge rotor includes a stack of conical disks, and has a central axis of rotation. Each conical disk has an outward surface and an inward surface. The stack of conical disks includes a plurality of interspaces between adjacent conical disks. The interspaces include first interspaces for separation of the relatively heavy phase from the relatively light phase, and second interspaces. A check valve device is provided in each second interspace for closing the second interspace in an inward direction towards the central axis, and permitting opening of the second interspace in an outward direction. Also a centrifugal separator, a method for separation and a conical disk are disclosed.

    摘要: A centrifugal separator for clarification of a liquid mixture into a heavy phase and a light phase, having a centrifugal separator bowl rotatable around an axis and encasing a separation space, and a sludge space radially outward of said separation space. The centrifugal separator bowl includes a hermetic inlet for feeding a liquid mixture to said separation space; a first hermetic outlet for a separated clarified light phase; and a second hermetic outlet for a separated heavy phase; a plurality of outlet conduits extending from an outer position in said sludge space to said second hermetic outlet. Each of the outlet conduits has a flow restriction in the form of a nozzle or vortex diode. A method to control such a centrifugal separator, in order to provide a stable flow through said outlet conduits, is also disclosed.
