摘要: A centrifugal separator and a method for separation of particles from a gas stream is disclosed. The separator includes a frame, a gas inlet and a gas outlet. A centrifugal rotor is arranged to be rotatable in the frame around a rotational axis and includes a plurality of separation plates defining separation passages between the plates. A central gas chamber in the rotor communicates with a radially inner portion of the separation passages and the gas outlet. A space surrounding the rotor communicates with a radially outer portion of the separation passages and the gas inlet. A device is configured to bring the gas stream in rotation upstream of the rotor. The centrifugal rotor is configured such that the rotational flow of the gas mixture drives the rotation of the centrifugal rotor for separating particles from the same gas stream being conducted from the space surrounding the rotor, through the separation passages between the plates and towards the central gas chamber.

摘要: A rotor-type apparatus for centrifugal cleaning of crankcase gases from a combustion engine. The rotor is hydraulically driven by pressurized oil by means of a turbine wheel located in an oil collection chamber. A pressure equalizing and gas discharging conduit, which extends into the collection chamber and has an upper aperture located above a liquid level of the oil in the collection chamber during the operation, is connected to an outlet conduit for the propellant oil from the collection chamber.

The discharging station (13) comprises a vibrating unit (300) for agitating the solid phase. The vibrating unit (300) comprises a half-drum (302) and a vibrating device (304) adapted to vibrate the half-drum (302).

摘要: An apparatus for removing impurities from a fluid stream includes a support structure, a separator unit rotatably mounted on the support structure, and a motor and/or an array of vanes for rotating the separator unit on the support structure. The separator unit has a longitudinal axis of rotation extending through a longitudinal tube disposed centrally within the separator unit. The longitudinal tube is connected or connectable to a pressurized source of fluid requiring separation, the longitudinal tube having one or more openings for receiving fluid under pressure from the said source and one or more lateral openings for introducing the fluid into the separator unit.

摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to a motor driven, high velocity decanter, and more particularly to a decanter which incorporates a horizontal rotating bowl and a rotating scroll. The decanter is capable of separating particulate material or solids from a liquid. A motor is coupled to and drives the bowl. Rotational power is transferred from the bowl to the scroll through a gearbox. An adjustable speed brake is coupled to the scroll to affect the differential speed between the bowl and the scroll. In one example, the adjustable speed brake is a positive displacement pump.

摘要: The invention concerns a centrifugal filtering device for filtering a fluid. The device comprises a rotatable inner casing forming an inner space and a rotatable outer casing forming an outer space. The device further comprises a fluid inlet, at least one filter and drive means. The drive means is configured to rotate the inner casing to create a centrifugal pressure. The pressure forces a part of the fluid contained in the inner space through the filter and to a radially outer position of the outer space. The filtered fluid forms a filtrate, the filtrate having a kinetic energy. The outer casing is configured to transport the filtrate from the radially outer position to a radially inner position of the outer space, permitting transfer of the kinetic energy from the filtrate to the outer casing, thereby permitting regaining of mechanical energy.

摘要: A centrifuge is employed to continuously remove particulates from a fluid. In one embodiment, the centrifuge removes small particles of soot from lubricating oil of large diesel engines. The fluid in introduced into the centrifuge through an inducer so that vortexes are not propagated in the fluid. Flow constrainers and flow straighteners maintain laminar flow of the fluid as it passes axially through the centrifuge. An exducer decelerates the fluid prior to its exit from the centrifuge. The exducer thus contributes to maintaining laminar flow conditions. Laminar flow may contribute to the soot-removal effectiveness of the centrifuge.

摘要: To enable centrifugal filtration of fluids which contain abrasive contaminant particles the rotor bearings (3) must be isolated from the fluid which passes into and through the rotor chamber (21). This is achieved by a design in which the spindle (4) is connected to the rotor so as to rotate in unison with the rotor (5, 6, 7) relative to the base (1). The bearings (3) for the spindle (4) are provided in a bearing housing (2) which is fixedly mounted to the base (1) and a sealing arrangement, preferably a spring-loaded axial seal (14, 15), is provided between the spindle (4) and the base (1) at a location below the bearings (3) in the bearing housing (2).
