摘要: In general, this disclosure is directed to techniques for outputting, by a computing device and for display at a display component that is operatively coupled to the computing device, a graphical user interface of an application. The computing device determines context data from content included in the graphical user interface. The computing device further determines, based at least in part on the context data, an indication of assistance that is contextually related to the content included in the graphical user interface. The computing device outputs the indication of the assistance.

摘要: Techniques are described for inspecting a web and controlling subsequent conversion of the web into one or more products. A system, for example, comprises an imaging device, an analysis computer and a conversion control system. The imaging device images the web to provide digital information. The analysis computer processes the digital information to identify regions on the web containing anomalies. The conversion control system subsequently analyzes the digital information to determine which anomalies represent actual defects for a plurality of different products. The web inspection system may preferentially apply different application-specific defect detection recipes depending on whether a given anomaly is a repeating or random anomaly.

摘要: Provided are an X-ray analyzer and a mapping method for an X-ray analysis which, in a inspection for a harmful substance contained in, for example, a material or a composite electronic component, enable determination as to whether a sample is normal or abnormal to be performed visually based on an image obtained by the X-ray mapping analysis. In the X-ray analyzer, an X-ray mapping image of a sample which is confirmed to be normal in advance is obtained as a reference mapping image. A mapping analysis is performed on a inspection sample. A difference from the reference mapping image is obtained for each pixel, to thereby display a difference mapping image. A region in which the amount of specific element is larger than a reference amount is displayed with high brightness, and hence an abnormal portion may be easily found.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a face recognizing apparatus includes: a storage unit; an input unit; a face detector; an extractor; and a recognizing unit. The storage unit stores face feature information on a face feature of each person. The input unit receives image information including at least a face of a person. The face detector detects a face region of the face of the person from the image information received by the input unit. The extractor extracts face feature information on a face feature from the face region detected by the face detector. The recognizing unit recognizes the person in the image information received by the input unit based on the feature information extracted by the extracting unit and the face feature information stored in the storage unit.

摘要: A method for writing or calibrating the scale of a scale-based position encoder. The scale is installed where it will be used to provide ongoing position measurements for a host system. The image correlation sensor is temporarily mounted proximate to the mounting position of the scale-based position encoder readhead on the host system, and is moved along the measuring axis relative to the scale, to provide corresponding displacement measurement information. The displacement measurement information is used to govern a scale writing process or a calibration process for the scale-based position encoder, such that the displacement measurement information at least partially governs the values of respective ongoing position measurements provided by the scale-based position encoder at respective positions along the measuring axis. A two-axis image correlation displacement sensor is advantageously used to detect and/or corrected various potential errors during the calibration or writing process.

摘要: The present invention provides systems, methods, and screens for an optical system analysis of cells to rapidly determine the distribution, environment, or activity of fluorescently labeled reporter molecules in cells for the purpose of screening large numbers of compounds for those that specifically affect particular biological functions. The invention involves providing cells containing fluorescent reporter molecules in an array of locations and scanning numerous cells in each location with a high magnification fluorescence optical system, converting the optical information into digital data, and utilizing the digital data to determine the distribution, environment or activity of the fluorescently labeled reporter molecules in the cells. The array of locations may be an industry standard 96 well or 384 well microtiter plate or a microplate which is a microplate having a cells in a micropaterned array of locations. The invention includes apparatus and computerized method for processing, displaying and storing the data.

摘要: An apparatus and method for detecting a relatively narrow predetermined pattern, such as a trigger mark, on a moving printed product uses a plurality of sensor elements arranged linearly in an array and a switching apparatus for selecting a properly located subset of the sensor elements for detecting the predetermined pattern. During the operation of the apparatus, only those signals from sensors in the selected subset are checked continuously for the occurrence of a signal pattern corresponding to the predetermined pattern. Each time the predetermined signal pattern is found in the output signal from a sensor within the selected subset, a detection signal is generated. The lateral shifting of the predetermined pattern over time may be monitored by the selected sensors, and the selection of the subset of sensors for the continuous evaluation may be changed in response to the lateral shifting.
