Abstract: A computing system may include a server, and a client computing device in communication with the server. The server may be configured to generate a server mapping table. The given client computing device may be configured to generate a client mapping table, replace a client packet with a client mapping ID number to define compressed client initialization packets, and send the compressed client initialization packets to the server. The server may be configured to replace the client mapping ID number with the client packet in the compressed client initialization packets based upon the server mapping table.

Abstract: A method of compensating for potential interruptions in a wireless spatially selective connection over which data at a first compression level is transmitted from a host device to a client device involves determining (S32) that an interruption to the wireless spatially selective connection over which data is being transmitted at a first compression level to a client device is starting or is due to start, compressing (S3Y3) the data at a second compression level that is higher than the first compression level, and forwarding (S34) the data compressed at the second compression level to a transmitting component for wireless spatially non-selective broadcast while the interruption to the spatially selective connection occurs. Determining that the interruption is due to start may involve analysing a historical record of previous interruptions to determine a periodicity of the previous interruptions or receiving information from the transmitting component that an interruption is expected to occur. Determining that the interruption is starting may involve determining that a buffer used for storing the data prior to transmittal is full, indicative that an interruption has commenced, or receiving information from the transmitting component that an interruption has commenced.

Abstract: Dynamic utilization of condensing metadata is enabled by condensing information being communicated to/from a mobile device. The communication exchange occurs between a mobile device and an internet service, and it involves a mobile internet service proxy. The information is condensed or compressed responsive to condensing metadata and uncondensed or uncompressed using the condensing metadata. The mobile internet service proxy may provide condensing metadata to the mobile device. This condensing metadata may be provided to the mobile device so that condensed data may be communicated at least between the mobile device and the mobile internet service proxy. In some instances, the mobile device may request that information be compressed and receive compressed information as a result. The mobile device may then utilize the condensing metadata to uncompress data provided from the internet service and/or the mobile internet service proxy.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing real-time, low-latency packetization protocols for live compressed video data are disclosed. A wireless transmitter includes at least a codec and a media access control (MAC) layer unit. In order for the codec to communicate with the MAC layer unit, the codec encodes the compression ratio in a header embedded inside the encoded video stream. The MAC layer unit extracts the compression ratio from the header and determines a modulation coding scheme (MCS) for transferring the video stream based on the compression ratio. The MAC layer unit and the codec also implement a feedback loop such that the MAC layer unit can command the codec to adjust the compression ratio. Since the changes to the video might not be implemented immediately, the MAC layer unit relies on the header to determine when the video data is coming in with the requested compression ratio.
