    摘要: Embroidering machine with a needle drive mechanism for color changeover, where each of a number of embroidering stations has a number of needles, one needle rod being working, i.e., engageable by a drive bar, all others being non-working and retained by a retaining bar, which also deflects the latch levers of these needle rods and which has a gap in the working plane for the working needle rod. In that gap is also arranged a solenoid controlled pivotable control pawl which, in its normal position, does not touch the working needle rod, and which, in its actuated position, bridges the gap of the retaining bar, thereby retaining the working needle and disengaging its latch lever from the drive bar. The needle bar, which carries all the needle rods, can then shift the needle rods into and out of the retaining bar gap.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a multi-head multi-needle sewing machine system adapted to change threads by horizontally moving sewing heads, which system provides for space savings and further increase in the number of sewing heads and colors of threads to be employed. For this purpose, needle-bar support frames 6 are each guided in the horizontal movement thereof by one guide rail 31 horizontally extending over the whole length of a sewing machine system 1. A thread take-up positioning piece 63 for maintaining undriven needle thread take-ups 5 at a raised position is secured to place as extending substantially between the centers of adjacent arms 3. In this multi-head multi-needle sewing machine system 1, the movement ranges of the needle-bar support frames 6 of the respective sewing heads partially overlap with each other but there is no fear of interference therebetween because the needle-bar support frames 6 horizontally travel for the same amount in the same direction. By sharing the guide rail 31 and thread take-up positioning piece 63, the system can accomplish downsizing without suffering trade-off.

    摘要: A needle bar stop device for a sewing machine in which a needle bar arm is separated into two parts, a first arm on a main shaft side, the rotation of which is controlled by a sub-shaft and a second arm on the needle bar side which is capable of rotating about the sub-shaft. An extended part is provided on either the first armor the second arm extending along the side surface of the other arm, and an insertion hole is formed in the extended part. An engaging hole is formed in the other arm so as to be capable of aligning with the insertion hole. A movable engaging member fitting in the insertion hole is part of a coupling mechanism that is selectively operated to cause the engaging member to engage with and disengage from the engaging hole.

    摘要: A sewing machine incorporates a needle bar disconnecting mechanism (3) and a thread cutting mechanism (9). The needle bar disconnecting mechanism (3) is interposed between an arm spindle (2) and a needle bar (4), which normally transmits rotations of the arm spindle (2) to the needle bar (4) to vertically move the latter up and down but disconnects the needle bar (4) from the arm spindle (2) to stop the vertical movement of the needle bar (4) when actuated. The thread cutting mechanism (9) cuts threads at the termination of stitching. A rotational phase detecting mechanism (11) is provided for detecting a rotational phase of the arm spindle (2). An electronic control circuit (12) actuates the needle bar disconnecting mechanism (3) when the rotational phase detecting mechanism (11) detects that the arm spindle (2) has reached a predetermined rotational phase after the thread cutting mechanism (9) is actuated. Therefore, after the threads are cut, a needle (5) attached to the needle bar (4) does not stick into a workpiece fabric.

    摘要: A sewing machine comprises a bed 3 on which a work-supporting table 3a is defined and from which a post 4 carrying a cantilevered support arm 5 provided with a needle-holding head 6 at its free end, rises up. An upper shaft 9 performing a rotating motion is housed within the arm 5 and it imparts a reciprocating movement, through a connecting rod-crank linkage 10, to a needle bar 11 vertically slidable in the head 6. Along the upper shaft 9 a plurality of eccentrics 19, 20, 21 are distributed to which auxiliary sewing operation devices 22, 32, 39 detachably associated with the sewing machine 1 are operativley engageable through respective connecting rods 23, 33, 50 and transferring motion mechanisms. A preformed opening 5 is formed in the support arm 5, through which connecting rod 50 is mounted to eccentric 21. An opening 36 is formed in support arm 5 through which stem 37 passes. As a result of the preformed openings in the support arm and the eccentrics along the upper shaft, the sewing machine of the present invention provides for the connection of auxiliary sewing operation devices, through the preformed openings, and to the eccentrics on the upper shaft of a basic version of the sewing machine.

    摘要: A multiple needle sewing machine is provided with two needles which are mounted for vertical reciprocating movement in a block which may be laterally shifted between a first position and an second position wherein the first and second needles will be selectively engaged with a vertically reciprocating drive member. A first solenoid is energized to lower a needle bar holding member which is engaged with the inoperative needle to lower the inoperative needle to a position corresponding to the operative needle prior to the lateral shifting of the needles by means of a second solenoid. Subsequent to the lateral shifting of the needle bars to engage the vertical reciprocating member with the previously inoperative needle bar, the previously operative bar will be raised upwardly by the needle bar holding device upon deenergization of the solenoid by a suitable spring.
