    摘要: A clip for electrically bonding a pair of adjacently-disposed metal panels is disclosed. One embodiment entails such a clip (104) including a first clip member (112) and an oppositely disposed second clip member (116). The surface (114) of the first clip member (112) that faces the second clip member (116) includes at least one grounding projection (128), while the surface (118) of the second clip member (116) that faces the first clip member (112) also includes at least one grounding projection (128). The clip (104) may be installed on a standing seam (102) of a panel assembly (100), with its first clip member (112) engaging one of the metal panels 82″ that define this stand seam (102) and with its second clip member (116) engaging the other of the metal panels 82″ that define this same standing seam (102).

    摘要: The invention relates to a fastening system for large-area roof coverings or wall claddings.
    The object is to create a fastening system which is structurally simple, consists of few parts, is fast to install and is suitable for high negative wind loads.
    Fastening is achieved within two upwardly projecting longitudinal ribs 2, which are formed by upwardly projecting sheet metal flanks 11. These sheet metal flanks 11 are bent up and provided with projections 13. According to the invention, T-shaped base bars 3 are disposed and fastened within the upwardly projecting longitudinal ribs 2, either continuously or only in some places. The horizontal wide limb of the T-shaped base bars 3, designated as foot limb 5, can be disposed upwardly or downwardly. The T-shaped base bar 3 has recesses 6 formed left and right in the vertical limb of the T-shaped base bar 3 and reaching into the foot limbs 5. Specially formed projections 13 of the sheet metal flanks 11 of the roof elements, sheet metal plates or sheet metal strips 1 engage in these recesses 6. These preformed projections 13 result in a form-fitting joint in conjunction with press plates 9 that can be disposed at or on the central limb 4. The press plates 9 are appropriately fastened with the base bar head 7 in a form-fitting manner or, for example, with screws. The press plates 9 are formed such that the press plates 9 span over the projections 13 of the sheet metal flanks 11 of the roof elements, sheet metal plates or sheet metal strips 1 positioned side by side. This creates a durable form-fitting joint by means of the T-shaped base bar 3 (or base element), central limb 4 and press plate 9. At the upper ends of the upwardly projecting lateral sheet metal flanks 11, the whole longitudinal rib is closed towards the top with a cover strip 12.

    摘要: A batten for use in roofing applications is defined by an upside-down U-shaped channel with outwardly projecting horizontal flanges. In certain versions, the legs forming the sides of the channel are asymmetrical to allow vertical orientation of at least one of the legs when installed on an angled roof. This improves strength and load bearing of the installed member, and allows it to provide a fall barrier for roof installers. In certain versions, one of the flanges has a ribbed impact reduction zone. This zone deforms when a building anchor, such as a nail, passes through it to anchor the member to a roof. The deformation prevents anchors fired from conventional equipment from passing completely through the member and holds the anchors more securely in place.

    摘要: In a peripheral connecting region of two sheets including two overlapping flanges of the sheets, the sheets are connected to each other such that they cannot be displaced relative to each other. In order to be able to connect high-strength sheets or other sheets which can be difficult to weld to each other, the sheets are connected in the connecting region by a strip-shaped fastening element. The strip-shaped fastening element encloses the outer contour of the flanges and rests with some sections of its inner side on mutually remote surfaces of the two flanges. A method for producing the connecting region is also proposed.

    摘要: A structural mounting system for mounting of structural components includes a base section and a co-operating section each of which in use is secured to a respective structural component and which are assembled together. The base section in cross section includes an undercut and the co-operating section in cross section includes a leg, having a toe projecting laterally to engage the undercut. When the sections are being coupled together the co-operating section is rotated about its longitudinal direction relative to its final position so that lateral movement of the toe to engage beneath the undercut requires the co-operating section to rotate about the longitudinal axis relative to the base section to adopt its final position. Spaced linear restraint points and a rotation restraint point together defining a triangle of points of contact to make the assembly of sections rigid. The sections have co-operating formations which require rotation of the co-operating section relative to the base section in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation to effect engagement of the toe with the undercut during close coupling of the two sections together until the toe reaches the undercut and the co-operating section can rotate to its final position.
