    Abstract: A head-mounted device may have head-mounted support structures configured to be worn on a head of a user. The head-mounted device may have stereo optical components such as left and right cameras or left and right display systems. The optical components may have respective left and right pointing vectors. Deformation of the support structures may cause the camera pointing vectors and/or the display system pointing vectors to become misaligned. Sensor circuitry such as strain gauge circuitry may measure pointing vector misalignment. Control circuitry may control the cameras and/or the display systems to compensate for measured changes in pointing vector misalignment.

    Abstract: A cold worked stainless steel bezel for a portable electronic device is provided. The bezel is secured flush to a housing to form part of the case of the portable electronic device. A brace that includes a slot for receiving a wall extending from the bezel is fixed to the housing. When the bezel engages the housing, the wall of the bezel is inserted in the slot of the brace and releasably held by a spring that engages both the brace and the wall. The bezel can be released by disengaging the spring, (e.g., using a special tool or a magnetic field). Because the bezel is manufactured from cold worked stainless steel, it is hard and resistant to impacts. Cold worked steel also facilitates manufacturing within design constraints and tolerances, and requires very little machining after manufacturing to comply with those constraints.

    Abstract: User equipment (UE), an enhanced NodeB (eNB) and method of improving positioning accuracy and enabling vertical domain positioning of the UE are generally described. The UE may receive a prsInfo control signal having at least one PRS configuration and subsequently a plurality of Reference Signals (RSs). The RSs may have a first Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) pattern in a first set of PRS subframes and a second PRS pattern in a second set of PRS subframes received prior to a subsequent first set of PRS subframes. The RSs may have a vertical positioning RS and a lateral positioning RS. The UE may measure PRS resource elements (REs), each having a PRS, in the first and second PRS pattern. The UE may transmit a measurement of the PRS in the first and second PRS pattern. The patterns may enable horizontal and vertical positioning to be determined.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides various techniques for improving the quality of a signal. By integrating phase-shifting circuitry with a transmit/receive (T/R) switch, insertion loss may be reduced while decreasing space consumed on an integrated circuit or printed circuit board. In particular, embodiments disclosed herein include a transmitter and a receiver, each including one or more differential amplifiers coupled to a first inductor, and a switching network coupled to a second inductor and one or more phase-shifting circuitries. A differential interface of the differential amplifiers may enable integration of a stage of the phase shifter (e.g., a 180 degree stage) with the T/R switch, such that a single circuit may operate as the phase shifter and the T/R switch. This implementation may reduce the number of T/R switches and phase shifter stages in the phased array system, reducing the overall insertion loss experienced by the phased array system.
