Abstract: A measurement device 50 of an electrochemical element 30 that is connected, via a first switch 40, to a terminal part 22P having a load connected thereto, wherein: the measurement device 50 is provided with a current limitation unit 75 provided to a bypass path BP of the first switch 40, a current sensor 60 for measuring the current of the electrochemical element 30, and a processing unit 100; when a voltage difference ΔV between the voltage of the electrochemical element 30 and the voltage of the terminal part 22P is equal to or greater than a prescribed value, the current limitation unit 75 permits the supply of power to the load through the bypass path BP, and when the voltage difference ΔV is less than the prescribed value, the current limitation unit 75 cuts off the current to the bypass path BP; and in a period of time after the first switch 40 has been turned off and until the voltage difference ΔV reaches the prescribed value due to a change in voltage of the terminal part 22P because of discharging of a charge/discharge element 170 connected in parallel to the load, the processing unit 100 performs a measurement process to measure the offset error ε of the current sensor 60.

Abstract: A management device for an energy storage device, includes a processing unit that manages the energy storage device. When the management device for the energy storage device has lost power due to a voltage drop of the energy storage device, the processing unit determines whether cause of the power loss is an external short circuit between external terminals of the energy storage device or an engine start, and the processing unit executes a response operation according to the occurrence of the external short circuit in the case of the external short circuit, and does not execute the response operation in the case of the engine start.

Abstract: A diagnosis device diagnoses current cutoff devices connected in parallel and disposed on an energization path to an energy storage device mounted on a vehicle. The diagnosis device performs switch processing of switching one of the current cutoff devices to be diagnosed from an opened state to a closed state or from the closed state to the opened state and closing the other current cutoff device while an engine of the vehicle is stopped. The diagnosis device detects end-to-end voltage of the current cutoff device when current larger than a threshold flows through the current cutoff device after the switch processing, and diagnoses the current cutoff device based on the detected end-to-end voltage.

Abstract: A vehicle-mounted power supply system according to the present invention is provided with: a main battery; a sub-battery; a voltage regulating unit which regulates the voltage of power supplied from the main battery and the sub-battery; and a state detecting unit which detects the state of the sub-battery. The state detecting unit is provided with: a first calculating unit which calculates a first internal resistance on the basis of a drop in the voltage across the sub-battery and an inrush current when the sub-battery supplies power to a load; a second calculating unit which manipulates the voltage regulating unit immediately following the calculation of the first internal resistance, and subsequently at least one more time, to cause the sub-battery to be forcibly discharged, and calculates a second internal resistance on the basis of a relationship between the voltage across the sub-battery and the current flowing thereinto when forcibly discharged; and a state determining unit which determines the state of the sub-battery on the basis of the first internal resistance and changes in the second internal resistance.
