Abstract: An energy storage device includes a current collector (negative electrode current collector), electrode body that includes a body portion and a tab projecting from the body portion, and a leading plate (negative electrode leading plate) that connects the current collector and the tab. In the leading plate, first and second plates and facing each other are continuously connected at end portions thereof in the first plate, the current collector is fixed to a first principal surface on the opposite side to the second plate. In the second plate, the tab is fixed to a second principal surface on the opposite side to the first plate.

Abstract: An energy storage device includes: an electrode body including curved portions formed by winding an electrode; a container in which the electrode body is accommodated; and a cover plate structure including a cover plate closing the container. The electrode body is accommodated in the container while one end portion in a winding axis direction of the electrode body faces the cover plate structure. The energy storage device includes spacers (side spacers) that are attached to curved portions, and one end portion of the spacer abuts on a part of the cover plate structure.

Abstract: To provide an energy storage device where internal short circuiting of an electrode assembly can be prevented while ensuring easy assembling of the energy storage device. An energy storage device according to an aspect of the present invention includes: an electrode assembly which has an electrode assembly body formed by stacking a positive electrode plate, a separator and a negative electrode plate, and tabs extending from the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate; a case formed of a case body which accommodates the electrode assembly therein and a lid plate which closes the case body; an external terminal fixed to the lid plate and electrically connected to the tab; a spacer disposed between the electrode assembly body and the lid plate and having rigidity; and a porous cushion sheet disposed between the spacer and the electrode assembly body having cushioning property, wherein the cushion sheet is welded to the spacer.
