Abstract: Various embodiments provide an encoder that generates a first quantization matrix including a plurality of matrix elements; generates, using the first quantization matrix, a subset of the first quantization matrix including only a subset of matrix elements of the plurality of matrix elements; and quantizes, using the subset of matrix elements included in the subset of the first quantization matrix, transform coefficients of a current block. Each of the subset of matrix elements and each of the transform coefficients has an x-coordinate value that is less than a threshold x-coordinate value, a y-coordinate value that is less than a threshold y-coordinate value, or an x-coordinate value that is less than the threshold x-coordinate value and a y-coordinate value that is less than the threshold y-coordinate value.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a transceiver device and scheduling device, and communication methods for transceiver device and scheduling device. The transceiver device comprises a transceiver which, in operation, receives a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), indicating a frequency range included in a carrier and applicable for transmission to be performed between the transceiver device and a scheduling device and a slot format indicating a sequence of symbol types by which the transmission is to be performed on a plurality of symbols included in a slot on the frequency range, the symbol types including at least one of an uplink symbol type, a downlink symbol type, and a flexible symbol type, and circuitry which, in operation, determines, based on the PDCCH, the frequency range and the slot format. The transceiver, in operation, performs the transmission on the frequency range in compliance with the slot format.

Abstract: An encoder includes processing circuitry and a memory coupled to the processing circuitry. The first set of filter coefficients applied to the type one pixels in the first block and the second set of filter coefficients applied to the type one pixels in the second block are selected to be asymmetrical with respect to the boundary based on block sizes of the first block and the second block.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to receiving and transmitting data in a frame with subframes of a wireless communication system, each subframe being either an uplink subframe accommodating uplink signal, a downlink subframe accommodating downlink signal or a special subframe including a downlink signal portion as well as an uplink signal portion. A control signal includes a special subframe configuration specifying the length of the uplink and/or downlink portion of the special subframe. The mapping and demapping of user data and/or control data including feedback information in a transmission time interval, TTI, onto or from one subframe is then performed, wherein the length of a second TTI for mapping onto the uplink portion of a special subframe is shorter than a first TTI for mapping onto an uplink subframe, or a first number of TTIs mapped onto the uplink subframe is larger than a second number of TTIs for mapping onto the uplink portion of a special subframe. The data are received or transmitted accordingly.

Abstract: A user equipment includes a receiver and a transmitter and is configured to report channel state information (CSI) to a base station in a communication system in which a plurality of downlink component carriers and at least one uplink component carrier are configured. The receiver receives, in a slot nTrigger, a trigger message that triggers reporting of the CSI for at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier of the plurality of downlink component carriers. The transmitter transmits, in a slot nReport, the CSI based on reference signals present in a slot nRS on the at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier. Responsive to the at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier being occupied for a period of time for a bursty downlink transmission, only the reference signals in the slot nRS are evaluated for the CSI, and other slots in the period of time are not evaluated for the CSI.

Abstract: An inter-channel correlation calculation unit calculates an inter-channel correlation between a left channel and a right channel by using a left channel signal and a right channel signal that constitute a stereo signal. A DMA stereo encoding unit and a DM stereo encoding unit encode the left channel signal and the right channel signal by using a common coding mode when the inter-channel correlation is greater than a threshold value, and individually encode the left channel signal and the right channel signal by using a coding mode determined for each of the left channel signal and the right channel signal when the inter-channel correlation is less than or equal to the threshold value.
