    Abstract: Various embodiments provide an encoder that generates a first quantization matrix including a plurality of matrix elements; generates, using the first quantization matrix, a subset of the first quantization matrix including only a subset of matrix elements of the plurality of matrix elements; and quantizes, using the subset of matrix elements included in the subset of the first quantization matrix, transform coefficients of a current block. Each of the subset of matrix elements and each of the transform coefficients has an x-coordinate value that is less than a threshold x-coordinate value, a y-coordinate value that is less than a threshold y-coordinate value, or an x-coordinate value that is less than the threshold x-coordinate value and a y-coordinate value that is less than the threshold y-coordinate value.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a transceiver device and scheduling device, and communication methods for transceiver device and scheduling device. The transceiver device comprises a transceiver which, in operation, receives a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), indicating a frequency range included in a carrier and applicable for transmission to be performed between the transceiver device and a scheduling device and a slot format indicating a sequence of symbol types by which the transmission is to be performed on a plurality of symbols included in a slot on the frequency range, the symbol types including at least one of an uplink symbol type, a downlink symbol type, and a flexible symbol type, and circuitry which, in operation, determines, based on the PDCCH, the frequency range and the slot format. The transceiver, in operation, performs the transmission on the frequency range in compliance with the slot format.

    Abstract: An information providing method includes: generating first information indicating there is an item that has been stored in a storage for a long time when (i) a length of a stored period of the item is a first threshold amount of time or longer and (ii) an amount of time from the current time to a statistical time is a second threshold amount of time or less; obtaining, from a second information processing apparatus connected to a first information processing apparatus, information indicating first request content over a network; and when content of the first information is included in the first request content, outputting, to the second information processing apparatus, second information including information for identifying a user or a space, using the first information generated.

    Abstract: An encoder includes processing circuitry and a memory coupled to the processing circuitry. Using the memory, the processing circuitry is configured to: change values of pixels in a first block and a second block to filter a boundary between the first block and the second block. The pixels include type one pixels and type two pixels different from the type one pixels. The first set of filter coefficients applied to the type one pixels in the first block and the second set of filter coefficients applied to the type one pixels in the second block are selected to be asymmetrical with respect to the boundary based on block sizes of the first block and the second block.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to receiving and transmitting data in a frame with subframes of a wireless communication system, each subframe being either an uplink subframe accommodating uplink signal, a downlink subframe accommodating downlink signal or a special subframe including a downlink signal portion as well as an uplink signal portion. A control signal includes a special subframe configuration specifying the length of the uplink and/or downlink portion of the special subframe. The mapping and demapping of user data and/or control data including feedback information in a transmission time interval, TTI, onto or from one subframe is then performed, wherein the length of a second TTI for mapping onto the uplink portion of a special subframe is shorter than a first TTI for mapping onto an uplink subframe, or a first number of TTIs mapped onto the uplink subframe is larger than a second number of TTIs for mapping onto the uplink portion of a special subframe. The data are received or transmitted accordingly.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a communication device, a base station and respective integrated circuits and methods for a communication device and a base station. The communication device comprises a transceiver which, in operation, receives, from a base station, a hopping pattern indicator, a hopping pattern being an order of a plurality of bandwidth parts by which a signal is to be received or transmitted in a plurality of transmission time intervals, TTIs, a bandwidth part being formed by at least one physical resource block. The communication device further comprises circuitry which, in operation, determines a hopping pattern to be applied based on the hopping pattern indicator. The transceiver, in operation, further receives or transmits the signal in the plurality of TTIs according to the determined hopping pattern.
