Abstract: A user equipment can send a notification to a network node indicating that the user equipment is entering a battery saving mode of operation. Reduced physical layer procedures can be implemented based on reduced capabilities indicated by the user equipment. Reduced physical layer procedures can also be implemented based on the network node's reconfiguration of parameters to facilitate the activation of the reduced physical layer procedures. The user equipment can also send to the network node recommendations of reduced physical layer procedures.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies directed to distributed load balancing for processing of high-volume data streams in datacenters are disclosed herein. In various aspects, a system can include a processor and memory storing instructions that, upon execution, cause performance of operations. The operations can include receiving raw data items in an incoming queue, and generating, within each of a plurality of worker processing threads, a load hash set that includes a load hash value for each of the raw data items in the incoming queue. The operations can include determining, within each worker processing thread, which of the raw data items to process from the incoming queue based on the load hash set, and processing, via one of the plurality of worker processing threads, each of the raw data items in the incoming queue based on the load hash value for each of the raw data items.

According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor and a memory that can store executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can include identifying a group of local managers of a group of user equipments. The operations can further include receiving, from a network device, a criterion for selecting a local manager from the group of local managers of the group of user equipments, wherein the criterion is based on an association parameter selected by the network device.

Abstract: A radio access network system is described that determines a signal metric associated with a user equipment or device. The user equipment device can implement an altered transmission policy. The altered transmission policy can alter a strength of transmissions by increasing power consumption per transmission, increasing a length of timer per transmission, and altering other parameters of transmissions. The altered transmission policy can also alter an error correction policy. The error correction policy can indicate that error correction transmissions are to be decreased. The altered transmission policy can be implemented until the signal metric changes to a more desirable level.

Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media and devices are disclosed for storing content from an endpoint device in a network cache. For example, a processor receives a security policy for the endpoint device defining a type of content for storing in the network cache, and determines that traffic from the endpoint device includes content of the content type for storing in the network cache. When it is determined that the traffic includes the content of the content type for storing in the network cache, the processor instantiates the network cache, stores the content in the network cache, and sends a notification to a designated device. The notification includes at least one parameter associated with the content. The processor further receives a decision from the designated device and performs a task regarding the content in response to the decision.

Abstract: Edge node networks can be utilized to facilitate predictive access to content for a wide variety of applications. For example, predictive data can be generated based on historical patterns, audio data, calendar invites, etc. The predictive data can include predicted locations, persons present based on usage of their mobile device, edge node and access point usage, etc. The predicted data can be used to facilitate more efficient access to content by proactively sending mobile application and/or content usage data to edge node equipment that is predicted to be used in accordance with a predicted a predicted event. Furthermore, the predictive analysis can be used to modify mobile screens for quicker access to content and/or mobile applications.
