Abstract: A roof assembly for a vehicle roof having a roof opening may have a movable roof element for optionally closing and at least partially uncovering the roof opening, a strand-shaped sealing profile which is adapted on a sealing side for sealing against the movable roof element and can be fastened to a fastening side on the vehicle roof. The sealing profile may have a sealing tube which is elongated along a longitudinal axis (X) and which surrounds a hollow chamber, and a recess which extends transversely to the longitudinal axis (X) through the sealing tube, such that the fastening side is fluid-connected to a side of the sealing tube facing away from the fastening side.
