    Abstract: Personal care compositions and, particularly, personal care compositions for alleviating dandruff are disclosed herein. The personal care compositions may include from about 0.1 to about 5 wt. % of an anti-dandruff agent comprising dipotassium glycyrrhizate; from about 6 to about 30 wt. % of a surfactant system; from about 0.1 to about 5 wt. % of a cationic polymer, wherein the personal care composition has a pH of about 2.5 to about 5 and all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the personal care composition. The surfactant system typically comprises from about 5 to about 20 wt. % of an anionic surfactant, from about 0.5 to about 7 wt. % of an amphoteric surfactant, and optionally, from about 0.5 to about 7 wt. % of a non-ionic surfactant.

    Abstract: An oral treatment device and a method of using the same. The oral treatment device includes an intraoral mouthpiece configured for placement into a mouth of a user, which includes a lamp having a top edge and a bottom edge, a plurality of first electromagnetic radiation emitting elements that emit light in a first wavelength when activated, and a plurality of second electromagnetic radiation emitting elements that emit light in a second wavelength when activated. The first electromagnetic radiation emitting elements are positioned along the lamp to emit light onto the user's teeth and the second electromagnetic radiation emitting elements are positioned along the lamp to emit light onto the user's teeth.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, the invention can be a system for determining toothbrush effectiveness, the system comprising a data capture subsystem comprising at least one sensor and configured to generate brushing data during a participant brushing session directed entirely by the participant, and at least one processor configured to receive the brushing data from the data capture subsystem. A brushing simulation subsystem includes artificial teeth; and a robotic arm configured to: hold a toothbrush; and receive from the at least one processor instructions for a motion to be carried out by the robotic arm, the motion of the robotic arm causing the toothbrush to carry out an automated brushing session upon the artificial teeth, the motion of the robotic arm being based on the brushing data captured during the participant brushing session.
