Abstract: A disclosed method may include (i) providing, to an end-user of a radio access network, a graphical user interface that enables the end-user to configure at least one of a plurality of control knobs for configuring a slice of the radio access network, (ii) receiving, after the providing the graphical user interface, user input from the end-user through the graphical user interface indicating how the end-user would adjust the at least one of the control knobs for configuring the slice of the radio access network, and (iii) configuring the slice of the radio access network according to the user input from the end-user through the graphical user interface. Related systems and computer-readable mediums are further disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods to utilize user device network slicing and cell support to manage handover of communications for user device. A request to handover management of a user device from a first cell to a second cell is received. One or more possible cells for the handover are then identified. If the user device is utilizing network slicing, then the second cell is selected from the one or more possible cells based on that cell also supporting network slicing. If the cell supports the same network slice as being utilized by the user device, then the handover of the user device to the second cell is initiated.

Abstract: Various arrangements for updating a radio unit (RU) of a cellular network are presented. A volume of cellular signals being handled by a first programmable processor of the RU and a second programmable processor of the RU may be analyzed. A determination can be made that one of the processors has sufficient available resources to handle the analyzed volume of cellular signals. The RU can cause cellular signals to be rerouted to one of the programmable processors while the other processor is taken offline for updating. The update process is performed such that UE in communication with the RU experience uninterrupted cellular network access.

Abstract: Various arrangements for performing intelligent cellular channel management are presented herein. A physical cellular communication channel may be established between a user equipment (UE) and a cellular network for sending a short message service (SMS) message in response to a cellular service request from the UE. One or more characteristics of the UE, the SMS message, or both may be analyzed. A duration of time for which the physical cellular communication channel is to be kept active may be based on the analyzed one or more characteristics. A channel maintenance instruction may be transmitted to keep the physical cellular communication channel active based on a cellular network messaging controller determining to adjust the duration of time for which the physical cellular communication channel is kept active.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for configuring structures and environs based on detected users and generic or known itineraries are described. A system may include: a hub having a data store, non-transiently storing computer instructions for a hub tracker engine (THE) and for a hub response engine (HRE) and a processor; a tracker node; and a responding device. The HTE instructs operations including fine or coarse user detection, and tracking operations. The system thereby tracks the user within a structure and determines whether to respond to the user. The HRE configures the responding device as at least one of a current responding device, a next responding device, and a destination responding device. Coarse user detection may include powering-on the tracker node, establishing a tracker link with the hub, communicating a tracker data signal to the hub, and analyzing the tracker data signal for a presence of the user at a location.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises a memory and a processor communicatively coupled to one another. The memory may be configured to store multiple configuration commands. Abstract: A distributed data platform is able to predict whether data stored on a first network infrastructure component will be needed by a second network infrastructure component and prepares the data to be transmitted to the second network infrastructure component. The distributed data platform prepares the data to be transmitted to the second network infrastructure component, and transmits the data after receiving an indication that the second network infrastructure component requires the data.
