A transmission process and device are provided for transmitting an enriched audio or audiovisual message. The process includes converting enriching information configured to enrich the content of an initial audio or audiovisual message and processing information linked to the enriching information into at least one multimedia insertion message, inserting the multimedia insertion message at least into the audio or visual content of the initial message so as to create an enriched message, and transmitting the enriched message via a communications system from the transmission device to at least one receiving device.
Abstract:
A method is provided for enabling or enhancing a use of voice control in a voice controlled application (VCA) via a development framework. The method includes: providing in the framework a plurality of action-context pairs—also called framework action-context pairs—usable in a memory of an application development device, which includes a processor, that serve to direct execution of the VCA, wherein the framework context defines a list of parameters related to the action and their respective value types; providing at least one of a voice recognition engine (VRE) and a natural language library to match each action-context pair with semantically related vocabulary; providing in the framework a registration mechanism that permits an association to be formed between an action-context pair and a handler in the voice controlled application. An associated development system for developing the VCA and user equipment that executes the VCA are provided as well.

The present method and system implements a method for presenting notifications on an electronic device partitioned into two or more distinct instances, each instance being aware of separate sets of events associated to applications running in that instance. The method includes collecting for each instance the notifications corresponding to the separate sets of events, rendering in the active instance the active instance notifications using a first display mode, while rendering the other instance notifications using a second display mode.

The invention relates to a method of modeling reference data in an information system (IS), characterized in that it is based on a Unified Modeling Language (UML) model of reference data for the IS listed in deposits of application data for the IS. Any reference data in the IS is defined by a specialized concept inheriting the characteristics of a generic concept. The method comprises steps in which the following actions are carried out: grouping the concepts into categories according to logical criteria; building a categories diagram in which the categories are grouped according to a predefined typing of categories, wherein the categories are related to each other by UML dependence relations, each materialized in one reference data; making groups of generic concepts in the same category consistent with deposits of application data in the IS by applying the principle according to which reference data defined by specialized concepts inheriting generic concepts in a same category and possessing an identical specialization necessarily belong to the data deposit of a unique application; and defining a direction for UML dependence relations relating the said categories to each other, the said direction of UML dependence relations depending firstly on typing of categories, and secondly on the deposit of the reference data containing the relation.

The protocol consists, via an IP network, in acquiring (A) a descriptive file of the source (SS), in acquiring (B) from the source (SS) based on the file SDP, a broadcast signalling channel (SC), and in receiving (C) on said terminal from the signalling channel (SC) at least a digital data flow supporting the audio-visual materials (PG). A method and system for automated annotation and retrieval of remote digital content is described. The image capture device of the present invention is configured to communicate with one or more external devices using a wired or wireless protocol. For example, Smart tag, 802.11, or Bluetooth protocols may be used to enable the camera to communicate with the external device, associated with an object of interest, to obtain metadata corresponding to a captured image of the object. The metadata collected using various forms of technology, as noted above for instance, can be used to automatically index a digital image and/or other digital content without any manual intervention.

An improved EX-CELP or RCELP encoding scheme is proposed, in which, at the encoder side, a speech signal is perceptually weighted signal prior to entering a time scale modification module, then the modified signal is transformed into another domain, such as the speech or LP short-term residual domain, using the corresponding inverse filtering operation directly or possibly combined with another processing, for instance a short-term LP filtering. A shift function is calculated in the time scale modification process to associate the position of each sample in the modified signal with its original position before the modification. The positions of the samples in the modified signal that correspond to sub-frame boundaries of the original signal are evaluated to switch filters for the inverse filtering at the appropriate instants. Therefore, the synchronization between the inverse filters and the modified signal is maintained.
