    Abstract: The present invention relates to an antibacterial and fungicidal peptide in which a lysine and tryptophan dipeptide is repeated. More specifically, the antibacterial and fungicidal peptide of the present invention, in which lysine and tryptophan dipeptide is repeated four times, shows excellent antibacterial activities with respect to gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and antibiotic-resistant strains by affecting the inner membrane of harmful microorganisms, has remarkable fungicidal activities with respect to pathogenic fungi and antibiotic-resistant fungi, and shows little cytotoxicity, and thus can be useful for a pharmaceutical composition, a cosmetic composition, agricultural chemicals, a food preservative, a cosmetic preservative, and a pharmaceutical preservative.

    Abstract: An anti-inflammatory composition includes a clavaspirin peptide analogue as an effective ingredient. CSP-4 peptide as a synthetic peptide produced by substituting the 9th and 12th amino acids of clavaspirin peptide originating from stalked sea squirt (Styela clava) with positively charged lysine (K) has an excellent anti-inflammatory effect against an animal model with inflammation response that is caused by antibiotics-resistant bacteria, and exhibits almost no cytotoxicity. Thus, CSP-4 peptide as a clavaspirin peptide analogue of the present invention can be advantageously used as an effective ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition, a cosmetic composition, a food additive, or the like for preventing or treating an inflammatory disorder.

    Abstract: A method of fabricating a customized orthodontic appliance includes a setup model forming step of preparing a setup model corresponding to teeth after ideal orthodontic treatment for a patient, an arch wire forming step of preparing an arch wire corresponding to a dental arch of the setup model while being disposed to closely approach tooth surfaces of teeth of the setup model, and an orthodontic bracket forming step of forming a bracket body corresponding to each of the teeth with reference to the arch wire. Through this, the customized orthodontic appliance capable of minimizing the distance between the tooth surface and the arch wire to accurately perform the ideal orthodontic treatment is fabricated. Also, convenience and accuracy of procedure is improved, and irritating sensation in the oral cavity is minimized.
