Abstract:
A home appliance and a home appliance system are provided which control a sound output from an output device upon receipt of an external command signal of ON or OFF. Further, the home appliance and home appliance system control a sequence of output of an acoustic signal output from a conversion device. Accordingly, it may be possible to notify a user of the outputting of the acoustic signal by controlling the sequence of output of the acoustic signal, thereby increasing user convenience.
Abstract:
A new concept drying machine, which not only functions as a pedestal for a washing machine or a drying machine, but also performs a drying function, is disclosed. The disclosed pedestal drying machine includes a container having a space for containing an object to be dried, in an interior of the container, the container allowing a laundry drying machine or a laundry washing machine to be laid on an outer top surface of the container, an air supplier for forcibly supplying air to the space, an input unit provided at the container, to receive an operating command from a user, a display unit provided at the container, to display an operation state, and a controller provided at the container, to control the air supplier based on the command from the input unit.
Abstract:
A dishwasher and a method of controlling a dishwasher are provided. The method includes heating wash fluid in a washing tub when no dishes are loaded in the washing tub, and sterilizing the washing tub by spraying the heated wash fluid into the washing tub with the use of a wash fluid spray device. Therefore, it is possible to remove wash fluid and impurities remaining in the washing tub and to prevent an offensive odor from being emitted from the washing tub.
Abstract:
Device and method for detecting malfunction of a clutch in a washing machine, the device including a clutch including a coupling for transmission of a power from a motor to a washing shaft or a spinning shaft, a clutch motor (60) for providing a power to the coupling, a switch for controlling the coupling, and a cam (600) fitted to be rotatable with the clutch motor for turning on/off the switch in response to the rotation, a power supplying part for supplying a voltage to the motor and the clutch motor (60), a pulse counting part for counting a number of pulses of a voltage supplied to the clutch motor from the power supplying part, and a microcomputer for repeating a process in which the clutch motor is stopped for a second set time period (S20) and operated again if the switch is not switched for a first set time period from a time the clutch motor is put into operation, and informs to a user that the clutch is in malfunction if the switch is not switched while the process is repeated equal to or more than a set times, thereby determining the clutch of being out of order and informing a result of the determination to a user.
Abstract:
Prosthetic intervertebral discs and methods for using the same are described. The subject prosthetic discs include upper and lower endplates separated by a compressible core member. The prosthetic discs described herein include one-piece, two-piece, three-piece, and four-piece structures. The subject prosthetic discs exhibit stiffness in the vertical direction, torsional stiffness, bending stiffness in the saggital plane, and bending stiffness in the front plane, where the degree of these features can be controlled independently by adjusting the components of the discs. The interface mechanism between the endplates and the core members of several embodiments of the described prosthetic discs enables a very easy surgical operation for implantation.
