摘要: A lathe includes a machine support, a work table, a moving device and a feeding device. The work table is rotatably positioned on the machine support for driving a workpiece placed on the work table to rotate. The moving device is movably mounted, slidably on the machine support along a first direction above the work table. The feeding device is slidably positioned on the moving device along a second direction vertical to the first direction, the feeding device includes a cutter. The feeding device drives the cutter backwards and forwards under precise control at high speed along a third orthogonal direction for machining the workpiece.

摘要: A brushless direct current motor for use in a HVAC system, has a stator and a rotor rotatably mounted to the stator. The stator has a stator core, field windings wound on the stator core and a bushing. The rotor has a shaft rotatably supported by the bushing and adapted to connect with a valve adjuster of the HVAC system. The rotor also has at least one permanent magnet fixed with respect to the shaft. The bushing is a monolithic construction with two journal portions and one middle portion. The two journal portions support the shaft and are formed at respective axial ends of the middle portion. The middle portion has an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the shaft at portions corresponding to the middle portion, so as to form a gap between the middle portion and the shaft.

摘要: A bottle includes a product stored therein. It is configured to be removably engaged with a docking station in an inverted arrangement to be activated by the docking station and heat the product. The bottle may include a pump structure (e.g. in the form of a bellows), or be a squeezable bottle, or be a bowable bottle, or have other pumping features. Structures are provided to prevent drool after use, to help apply the heated product to the skin, and to insure proper heating and dispensing. There are combined docking stations and bottles where the bottle is positioned in an inverted manner, and methods for using these devices.

摘要: An improved mode of AFM imaging (Peak Force Tapping (PFT) Mode) uses force as the feedback variable to reduce tip-sample interaction forces while maintaining scan speeds achievable by all existing AFM operating modes. Sample imaging and mechanical property mapping are achieved with improved resolution and high sample throughput, with the mode being workable across varying environments, including gaseous, fluidic and vacuum. Ease of use is facilitated by eliminating the need for an expert user to monitor imaging.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided that have the capability of rapidly scanning a large sample of arbitrary characteristics under force control feedback so has to obtain a high resolution image. The method includes generating relative scanning movement between a probe of the SPM and a sample to scan the probe through a scan range of at least 4 microns at a rate of at least 30 lines/sec and controlling probe-sample interaction with a force control slew rate of at least 1 mm/sec. A preferred SPM capable of achieving these results has a force controller having a force control bandwidth of at least closed loop bandwidth of at least 10 kHz.
