Abstract:
A reference signal specific to each base station device and a reference signal specific to each mobile station device are not mixed within one OFDM symbol of a resource block, and OFDM symbols including the reference signal specific to each mobile station device are arranged at regular intervals on a time axis. By using such a signal arrangement pattern, it is possible to overcome the problems in Non-Patent Document 1 mentioned above caused by mixing a reference signal specific to each base station device and a reference signal specific to each mobile station device in one OFDM symbol. Thus, it becomes possible to prevent the reference signal specific to each base station device and the reference signal specific to each mobile station device from being mixed within one OFDM symbol of a resource block.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the present invention include a male luer connector having a valve arrangement for keeping a passage that extends through the male luer connector closed when the male luer connector is not attached to a corresponding female luer connector. This passage of the male luer connector may opened by connecting the male luer connector to a female luer connector. The valve arrangement of the male luer connector may include a movable sealing element arranged around a central fluid conduit. In some embodiments, the male luer connector may include a filter that is permeable to gas, but substantially impermeable to liquid, thus allowing gas to be purged from the male luer connector while substantially preventing liquid from leaking from the connector at least when the male luer connector is not connected to a female luer connector.
Abstract:
An airbag is constructed such that a gas-discharging amount from a venthole becomes largest when an occupant contacts a center portion, in the left and right direction, of an occupant-facing surface of the expanded airbag. In the airbag, a hanging strap couples a center portion of a front panel and a rear panel. A lid body covers an open-and-close venthole from outside the airbag, and the hanging strap is coupled by a tether. In a case that the airbag is expanded, the hanging strap and the tether are tensed, and the lid body is brought to a state to close the open-and-close venthole. A loosening amount of the hanging strap and the tether becomes largest when an occupant contacts the center portion of the front panel to retreat, and an opening amount of the open-and-close venthole also becomes largest.
Abstract:
An airbag device includes an outer shell forming an airbag and having a vent hole, a restriction member for restricting gas flow through the vent hole, a first chamber having the vent hole, a second chamber, the inner panel partitioning the airbag into the first and second chambers and having a communication portion, and a tether member for connecting the restriction member and the inner panel. Gas is introduced into the first chamber and then into the second chamber. When the first chamber is filled with gas and the inner panel is tensioned, the tension exceeding a predetermined value is applied to the restriction member so that the vent hole is substantially closed. When the first chamber is not filled with gas and the inner panel loosens, the tension applied to the restriction member does not reach the predetermined value so that the vent hole is opened.
Abstract:
An airbag and an airbag apparatus in which a vent hole is in a closed state or a slightly open state until an occupant plunges into the airbag and the vent hole becomes to an open state or a widely open state when the occupant plunges into the airbag. The inside of the airbag 10 is partitioned by inner panels 22A, 22B into a first chamber 1 centrally located and a second chamber surrounding the first chamber 1. A vent hole 18 is formed in a rear panel 14 to allow the communication between the second chamber 2 and the outside of the airbag. A lid member 60 is provided to cover the vent hole 18 from the inside of the rear panel 14. A tether (tethering member) 70 connects the lid member 60 and the inner panels 22A, 22B. When the airbag 10 is inflated, the tether 70 is tensioned to prevent the lid member 60 from moving out of the airbag 10.
Abstract:
An airbag and an airbag device, a vent hole of which remains closed or is made open to a small extent until the internal pressure of the airbag becomes equal or more than predetermined, and becomes opened or is made open to a large extent when the internal pressure of the airbag becomes equal or more than predetermined and also when an occupant comes in contact with the airbag. A vent hole 18 is provided to a rear panel 14 of an airbag 10, and is covered with a cover member 60 from the inside of the airbag 10. A hanging rope 80 connecting a front panel 12 and the rear panel 14 in the inside of the airbag 10 is connected to the cover member 60 with a tether 70. On the center side of the airbag 10 with respect to the vent hole 18, the tether 70 is sandwiched between the front panel 12 and the rear panel 14, and these are joined together with line-like joining portions 22, 24 so as to be disengageable.
Abstract:
A knee-bag to be inflated in front of an occupant leg includes a first member facing the occupant, a second member facing the first member, and a tether provided in the knee-bag for connecting the first member and the second member. The tether extends in a lateral direction and has end portions in a thickness direction of the knee-bag, and lateral ends in the lateral direction. At least one of the lateral ends has a portion located inwardly in the lateral direction so that air-flow spaces are formed between a left end of the tether and a left side of the knee-bag and between a right end of the tether and a right side of the knee-bag.
Abstract:
An airbag and an airbag apparatus includes a vent hole operable to close or open to a small extent until a passenger crashes into the airbag, and open or close to a large extent when the passenger crashes into the airbag. An interior of an airbag is partitioned into a first chamber at a center and a second chamber which surrounds the first chamber by an inner panel. A rear panel includes a vent hole for communicating the second chamber and the outside of the airbag. A lid member configured to cover the vent hole may be disposed on an outer surface of the rear panel. A tether may connect the lid member to the inner panel through the vent hole.
Abstract:
A triple lumen catheter comprises a transfusion lumen (4), a blood feeding lumen (2) and a blood removing lumen (3). The transfusion lumen (4) has a distal end and a leading end portion (12, 12A), the leading end portion progressively reducing in diameter to a proximal end. A transfusion port (4a) is formed in the proximal end of the transfusion lumen. The blood feeding lumen (2) has a blood feeding port (2a) in a region of the proximal end of the leading end portion, the blood feeding port opening at least partially in an axial direction of the leading end portion. The blood removing lumen (3) includes a pair of blood removing ports (3a, 3b) provided in opposite side walls of the catheter, the blood removing lumen extending from a distal end at least to the blood removing ports.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for controlling an occupant restraint apparatus are provided which allow the force applied to a nearby occupant to be optimized in response to collision conditions. In one form, a method for controlling an occupant restraint apparatus includes detecting an obstacle in a travelling direction of a vehicle that may potentially collide with the vehicle; predicting a type of collision between the obstacle detected and the vehicle; setting conditions for expanding an airbag of the vehicle based on the collision type predicted; and controlling the expansion of the airbag and/or gas discharge from the airbag according to the conditions set at the setting step. Detecting the obstacle preferably includes detecting the position and relative speed of the obstacle with respect to the vehicle based on images of views in the travelling direction of the vehicle.
