    摘要: Herein disclosed is a control system to be used in a continuously variable transmission for a vehicle for continuously varying and transmitting the revolutions of an engine to the wheels. The control system comprises: a vehicle speed detector for detecting the running speed of a vehicle; a speed demand change detector for detecting a signal corresponding to the speed demand change by the driver; a setting device for setting the target speed of the vehicle to a predetermined value when the vehicle speed is higher than a preset value and the speed demand change is lower than a preset value; and a torque ratio controller for controlling the torque ratio between the input shaft and output shaft of the continuously variable transmission in accordance with the predetermined value of the target vehicle speed.

    摘要: An endless belt 1 for transmission is provided with a number of blocks 2, 3 which frictionally engage input and output pulleys, and vibration-absorbing members 6, 7 are interposed between mutually adjacent ones of the blocks 2, 3. The vibration-absorbing members 6, 7 are constituted by a first retainer 6 which clamps one block 2 of the mutually adjacent blocks 2, 3, and a second retainer 7 which clamps the other block 3, these retainers being intervening between the mutually adjacent blocks 2, 3. Accordingly, neighboring blocks 2, 3 are reliably prevented by the vibration-absorbing members 6, 7 from directly colliding with each other, as a result of which noise can be effectively reduced. In addition, vibration produced by the block 2 itself is absorbed by the first retainer 6 constituting the vibration-absorbing member. Likewise, vibration produced by the other block 3 itself is absorbed by the second retainer 7.

    摘要: This invention relates to a belt driven continuously variable transmission having a pressure regulating cam mechanism giving a pulley an axial force which corresponds to transmission torque and eliminates torque transmission by friction between a pressure regulating cam and a fixed race. The stationary sheave, whose outer surface is supported, with rotation free at a case, by a bearing and whose inner side encloses the pressure regulating cam mechanism, has a circular hub elongating axially to the back side of the stationary sheave. Therefore, torque from the engine is transmitted to the fixed race of the regulating cam mechanism through an input member, and further transmitted to the stationary sheave through a roller and a movable race of the regulating cam mechanism. Consequently, the stationary sheave is supported at the case by the bearing and the radial load does not work on the pressure regulating cam mechanism. Therefore, the axial force generated by the pressure regulating cam mechanism can be set to correspond to the torque from the engine side without getting any influence from the torque transmission by friction.

    摘要: A belt driven continuously variable transmission unit which converts the rotation of the input member by continuously variable ratios, and a gear unit such as a planetary gear unit to which the output torque from said continuously variable transmission unit and torque from said input member transmitted through a transfer unit is fed and delivered to the output member, are provided. A clutch and arresting member, such as a brake and one-way clutch are provided on the input path to said gear unit from said transfer unit. When the arresting member is actuated to low speed mode, the gear unit functions as a reduction mechanism, whereas when the arresting member is engaged to high speed mode, the gear unit functions as a split-drive mechanism which combines the output torque from said continuously variable transmission unit with the torque transmitted through said transfer unit. Formation of torque loop is prevented while combining the torques, by driving the element of the gear unit which supports reaction when the gear unit is functioning as a reduction mechanism.

    摘要: An automatic transmission for a front-engine front-drive vehicle comprising a fluid coupling, a belt type continuously-variable speed transmission (C.V.T.), a planetary gear mechanism, a forward-reverse changeover mechanism and a differential device. The planetary gear mechanism includes first and second planetary gear sets, a first intermediate shaft connected to a ring gear of the first planetary gear set and a sun gear of the second planetary gear set, a second intermediate shaft connected to a planetary carrier of the first planetary gear set and a ring gear of the second planetary gear set, and an input shaft connected to an output C.V.T. The forward-reverse changeover mechanism includes a brake disposed between the output of the C.V.T. and the planetary gear sets, and when the first intermediate shaft is braked, the ring gear of the first planetary gear set and the sun gear of the second planetary gear set are held in a stationary position by the brake, thereby a forward range gear train is formed, whereas when the second intermediate shaft is braked, the planetary carrier of the first planetary gear set and the ring gear of the second planetary gear set are held in a stationary position by the brake, thereby forming a reverse gear train.

    摘要: A centrifugal type friction clutch for motor vehicles, which include: a disk serving as an output member and provided with a number of frictional coupling element support means in outer peripheral portions thereof; a drum serving as an input member and provided with a frictional coupling surface on the inner periphery thereof in coaxial relation with the circumference of the disk; and frictional coupling elements respectively supported by the frictional coupling element support means and displaceable radially outward according to the rotational speed of the disk for engagement with frictional coupling surface on the drum. The frictional coupling elements include: a friction shoe having an arcuate portion with a frictional coupling surface on the outer side thereof and abutting portions at radially inwardly projected end portions on the opposite sides of the arcuate portion; a weight having the opposite ends thereof engaged with the abutting portions of the arcuate portion; a resilient load means located between the weight and friction shoe and urging these members away from each other; and a resilient retracting means having the opposite ends thereof engaged with the frictional coupling element support means and an intermediate portion abutted against the weight; the friction shoe having one of the abutting portions engaged with one of the projections on the disk to serve as trailing shoe in driven power transmission and as a leading shoe in drive power transmission.
