    Abstract: The invention relates to an industrial fabric and its use. The industrial fabric (1) comprises several machine direction (MD) yarns (2, 2a, 2b) and several cross machine direction (CMD) yarns (3). The MD-yarns are twisted relative their longitudinal axis so that the twisted yams have sloped surfaces (4) at least on a web side surface (P) of the textile. The textile is usable in paper machine, pulp machine or filtering machine.

    Abstract: An electrostatic precipitator for removing particulates from boiler flue gas, the electrostatic precipitator comprising: discharge electrodes and collecting electrodes fitted in a gas passage, said electrodes being arranged in at least two electrical fields that are placed successively in relation to gas flow, the electrical field establishing at least one electrical unit in transversal direction of said gas passage, the electrical unit constituting a portion of the precipitator having ability to be de-energised independently, separately from the other electrical units of the electrostatic precipitator.     Abstract: A cooler (144) providing gas blows and comprising at least one cooler module having at least one cooler module (41, 42, 43, 44) of the cooler (144) is curved to provide a gas turn module for turning run of the fiber web (W) from its main running direction 80-190°. The cooler (144) includes moisturizing at least one surface of the fiber web. Having a blowing zone (45, 46, 53) in which gas is blown toward a surface of the fiber web and that the cooler comprises at least one suction zone (51), in which the fiber web evaporated moisture is drawn away from the proximity of a surface of the fiber web. There are cooler modules on both sides of the fiber web. The cooler has a gas turn module located inside a curved fiber web run, which provides gas blows toward the curved fiber web during the run.

    Abstract: A blade segment (4, 4a, 4b, 8, 8a, 8b) for a refiner (1) for refining fibrous material has first (20) and second (21) end edges and first (22) and second (23) side edges, the first (22) and second (23) side edges extending between the first (20) and second (21) end edges. The segment has a refining surface (5, 9) with blade bars (27) and grooves (28) on the segment front surface (25). At least one opening (14, 15) at the side edge (22, 23) extends through the whole thickness of the segment body (24) and towards the opposite side edge (22, 23). A guide element projects from the segment background surface (26) at the side edge which provides a guide surface that intensifies the feed of the material to be refined through the opening to the refining surface of the blade segment into the refining chamber of the refiner.

    Abstract: A method for removing ammonia (NH3) from a gas produced in a pulp mill (100). The method comprises producing raw non-condensable gas comprising ammonia (NH3) in the pulp mill (100) and transferring at least some of the raw non-condensable gas to a scrubber (200) containing aqueous scrubbing solution (130, 140). The method comprises adding a compound capable of decreasing a pH of the scrubbing solution to the scmbbing solution (130, 140) and in the scrubber (200), contacting the raw non-condensable gas with the scmbbing solution (130, 140), to react the ammonia (NH3) of the raw non-condensable gas with the scmbbing solution to produce clean non-condensable gas and ammonium (NH4+). A pulp mill comprising equipment for performing the method.

The second accept, which has longer fibers than the first accept, is led to a refining step in the liquid medium, and the refined fibers are fractionated in the liquid medium into at least two fractions on the grounds of the fiber length.
