摘要: A structural element core adapted to space apart opposed first and second, laterally and longitudinally extended, generally planar surface structures, the core comprising a closed figure pattern of ribbing defined by a plurality of periodically intersecting laterally or longitudinally disposed and vertically stacked fibers and a fiber supporting plastic matrix, the fibers and matrix being radially deflected at their locus of intersection with oppositely disposed fibers and matrix sufficiently to be vertically stacked to the same height at their locus of intersection as between. comprising opposed first and second. The core is usefully combined with one or more planar surface structures to form a structural element e.g., an aircraft panel.

摘要: A process for the formation of pellets containing an ultra hard (superhard) core coated with an encapsulating material includes utilizing a shovel rotor in combination with a rotating pan and/or a fluidized bed apparatus in sequence. The process includes providing a source of superhard material, providing a mixture comprising a binder, a solvent or fluid medium and the intended coating or encapsulating layer, and combining the superhard material and the mixture in a shovel rotor. The rotor of the shovel rotor is rotated at a velocity such that the superhard material is encapsulated by the mixture to form pellets. The pellets are introduced into a rotating vessel or fluidized bed granulating apparatus, and the pellets are contacted with encapsulating material to form pellets of greater mass than the pellets introduced into the vessel.

摘要: In one embodiment, a first interface of a switch interconnects with a broadband modem within a wide area network (WAN), while a second interface of the switch interconnects with a WAN interface of a router, where the router provides a gateway between the WAN and a local area network (LAN). Additionally, a web server is provided at the switch, where the web server is reachable to the WAN on the first interface and to the LAN on the second interface. The switch may then inspect traffic received at the first and second interfaces, and determines, based on inspecting, whether to transparently forward the traffic between the first and second interfaces or to redirect the traffic to the web server.
