摘要: The present invention provides a die for superplastic forming of titanium-based alloy with high-workability, which is inexpensive and easy to handle, and has detailed shape-reproducibility and no reactivity with titanium-based alloy to be processed, and has excellent accordance with it in a thermal expansion coefficient. This invention relates to a die for superplastic forming of titanium-based alloy characterized by comprising quartz, cristobalite and calcium silicate. The above die for superplastic forming of titanium-based alloy is produced by kneading a mixed powder of quartz and cristobalite, together with a binder containing a plaster additive of less than 30 weight % based on the total amount with water, forming the mixture, drying the formed product and sintering it in the atmosphere to convert the plaster additive into calcium silicate.

摘要: Disclosed is a compact optical pick-up head apparatus suitable for mass-production, which comprises a light radiation source, an element composed of photodetector split into a plurality of regions and integrated on the same base, an objective lens for focusing a beam from the above source on an optical disk, a blazed hologram integrated to the support member of the lens, a means for driving the support member to which the objective lens and blazed hologram are integrated in response to an output as servo signal output from the photodetector which receives a diffracted beam produced in such a manner that a return beam reflected or diffracted by the optical disk is incident on the objective lens integrated with the above hologram. The optical pickup apparatus according to the present invention employs a region-split-type phase hologram in which a pair of Flesnel zone plate-like patterns, by which a plurality of diffraction wavefronts having a different focus and the same diffraction order are produced outside an optical-axis, are non-superimposedly formed. The above hologram can be blazed with a pinpoint accuracy by lithography using a few mask patterns synthesized by a computer, and further a more preferably blazing can be realized by the combination of the ion beam etching and the lithography. Accordingly, not only noise caused by an unnecessary diffracted beam component but also the offset of a servo signal can be restrained and the size of the objective lens can be reduced by the integration of the entire optical system, which greatly contributes to the superminiaturization of an optical head.

摘要: An optical head apparatus consists of a semiconductor laser for radiating a light beam, a first collimator lens for collimating the light beam, a wedge-like prism for reshaping the light beam, a beam splitter for transmitting the light beam in an outgoing path and splitting the light beam in an incoming path, an objective lens for converging the light beam at an information medium in which information is stored, a plane type of hologram lens integrally formed with the objective lens for excessively correcting chromatic aberration of the objective lens to cancel out chromatic aberration of the collimator lens, a second collimator lens for converging the light beam split, a photo detector for detecting intensity of the light beam converged to obtain an information signal and servo signals, and an actuating unit for slightly moving the objective lens and the hologram lens according to the servo signals. A wavelength of the light beam is lengthened as intensity of the light beam is increased. Even though an astigmatic difference occurs in the semiconductor laser, the change of a focal length of the collimator lens cancels out the change of the astigmatic difference to prevent the occurrence of astigmatic aberration.

摘要: A second harmonic generation device has a waveguide layer for generating and outputting a second harmonic wave ray in response to the laser light from a laser, wherein the returning of reflected laser light from the waveguide layer to a laser is prevented. The returning of reflected laser light is prevented: by inclining a normal of at least one of a first and second end facets of the waveguide layer from an optical axis of the laser; by providing an absorbing layer on the waveguide layer for absorbing waveguided laser light and for waveguiding the generated second harmonic wave ray; or by providing a second waveguide layer for waveguiding and outputting the generated second harmonic wave ray and for radiating the waveguided laser light. The absorbing layer is provided by a blue filter adhered or deposited on the top surface of the waveguide layer. The second waveguide layer is provided by making the second waveguide layer more narrow that the waveguide layer. A second harmonic generation apparatus includes the laser. Methods of producing these devices and apparatus are disclosed.

摘要: A short-wavelength light generating apparatus comprising a pumping semiconductor laser and an intra-cavity solid state laser, the intra-cavity solid state laser is excited in response to a laser light beam from the semiconductor laser to generate a short-wavelength light beam to an external. Also included in the apparatus is an external grating mirror having on its one surface a reflection type diffraction grating and placed between the semiconductor laser and the intra-cavity solid state laser. The external grating mirror reflects the laser light beam from the semiconductor laser to feedback a portion of the laser light beam to said semiconductor laser so that an oscillated wavelength of the semiconductor laser becomes within a wavelength acceptance of the intra-cavity solid state laser. Further, the external grating mirror supplies a portion of the laser light beam from the semiconductor laser to the intra-cavity solid state laser. This arrangement can output a stable harmonic wave with a high efficiency.

摘要: An image processing area is divided into a plurality of small areas which are allowed to overlap one another. One or a plurality of pixels in a region to be segmented and in a region not to be segmented are specified. A representative point of the region to be segmented and a reference point of the region not to be segmented are determined from the color information of each of the pixels. A discriminating plane, a plane or a curved surface that intersects the line segment connecting the representative point and the reference point a right angles is used in processing. By the processing a particular region can be segmented out of the image. Further, a shape model is made by two-dimensionally projecting from a given direction the three-dimensional structure expressed by a line drawing consisting of nodes and curves connecting the nodes based on priori property relating the structure of the region to be segmented in the image. The shape model is then roughly correlated in position with the nodes on the contour of the image. An image processing provides stripe images having widths for each of the curves that is recomposed and used to find the contour and structure of the object in detail.
