Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relates to compounds labeled with imaging agents that also are capable of binding lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein (LOX-1). The labeled compounds are useful for the diagnosis and monitoring of diseases in which inflammation plays a role, such as various cardiovascular diseases including but not limited to atherosclerosis, vulnerable plaque, and coronary artery disease, as well as rheumatoid arthritis.

A set of Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for a resource-limited environment are disclosed. The APIs provide a mechanism for a computer application to interface with various components and modules of an operating system for a resource-limited environment. The APIs further provide a mechanism to interface with input/output devices commonly found in embedded systems running in a resource-limited environment.
Abstract:
A vertical shaft impact crusher having a suspended impeller attachable to a hollow spindle with a modified gun lock system secured in place by fixed stops and sliding stops cam operated and clamped by a gear rotated nut. Said spindle journalled in a single ball bearing contained in a housing supported on flexible means; lubricant force jetted into said bearing from a pump initially driven by a small motor followed by being driven by one of two motors driving said spindle to insure against loss of lubricant by power failure to small motor. A frame supported by four vertical columns; a second smaller frame within said columns and connected to elevating means to raise and lower said smaller frame; self latching means to hold said smaller frame at its upper elevated position; camming means to release self latching means. An annular chamber centered on said smaller frame and attached to frame by bolts is partially covered over on its top; its uncovered portion is sealed against a member supporting a complete bearing-spindle assembly; The underside of said annular chamber has a center opening to discharge crushed product into a conical hopper having a telescoping extension. Two opposed motors each suspended below swingable frames drive said spindle with multiple vee belts; an inverted cup shaped vee sheave is attached to the top face of said spindle; it has the same number of vee grooves above and below a plane through the rolling elements of said ball bearing; motor sheaves positioned to drive an equal number of belts above and below said plane with balanced pulling forces. Said motor bases push-pulled by power means with pushing mode having belt tension control. A hopper above said spindle has a static tube depending through said hollow spindle and into said impeller a designed distance and bypass means spaced apart farther than the diameter of said impeller.
Abstract:
Methods and associated hub arrangements are described for use in diagnosis and recovery in high performance digital loops such as, for example, those seen in Fibre Channel systems. In one system having a hub configured for interconnection of a plurality of stations as part of a digital system such that digital data flows between the stations based on operational status of the system, an arrangement forms part of the hub which arrangement is connectable at points within the hub and between at least two different pairs of the stations for monitoring certain characteristics of the data in a way which provides for non-invasive identification of one or more conditions related to the operational status of the system.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for removing loins from pork bellies to result in a high yield of loin in a two-step method, the first step involving the removal of the loin and the second step involving the skinning of the loin portion removed. A unique knife shaped in the form of a Z is used to cut all the way through the belly. Once complete, the skin from the belly remains on the loin and is subsequently run through a loin skinner in a controlled cutting process that significantly reduces the chance of cutting below the loin fat and into the muscle.
Abstract:
An ostomy output diversion device is used to cover and seal closely around a patient's stoma, to divert stoma effluent output through the device, through a drain tube and into a container or reservoir, temporarily eliminating the need of an adhesive-based ostomy pouching system. The ostomy output diversion device is placed over the person's stoma, with the base ring surrounding the peristomal skin, the adjustable inner tube is retracted until the base ring is centered over the stoma, the body support strap is then placed over the device to secure it to the patient's body, the inner tube with stoma-sized adapter is then extended over the stoma, the patient applies the desired pressure against the skin, then secures the stoma-sized adapter in place with the pressure adjustment lock. The device may also include an ostomy pouch mounting ring for attachment to an ostomy pouch, and a disposable receptacle.
Abstract:
A rotary motion controller controlling the motion of a mirror in a projection system is described having a mounting element coupled to a support member. A two-axis coupling is provided with at least two input shafts coupled to two drive mechanisms. A channeled portion is provided in a second of the two input shafts through which the support member extends there through and is guided thereby and where the at least one support member is coupled to the first input shafts via an input coupling coupled to and driving the support member and a control input controlling the position of the at least two input shafts. A method of controlling a mirror in an underwater projection system is also provided along with a method of operating a controller for an underwater projection system.
