摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communication. In one or more aspects, a user equipment (UE) is configured to transmit capability information of the UE for channel state information (CSI) reporting. The UE is further configured to receive, from a base station, configuration information for the CSI reporting. The configuration information indicates a CSI reference resource including a plurality of a first type of time units for CSI reference signal (CSI RS) monitoring, a CSI target resource including one or more of a second type of time units for which channel state information is to be estimated, or both. The CSI target resource is later in time as compared to the CSI reference resource. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In wireless systems supporting multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) transmissions, devices may implement beam-forming to improve reliability of communications. A user equipment (UE) may select a set of beams, and corresponding beam indices, for communication based on reference signals received from a base station. The UE may determine values corresponding to each of the beam indices using a scalable set of tables. For example, the UE may select a subset of the tables based on the number of selected beams, and may determine the values based on these tables. In this way, the UE may efficiently store sets of tables for multiple different configurations. The UE may sum the corresponding values to obtain a combination index value, and may transmit the combination index value to the base station. The base station may determine the selected beams based on this combination index value.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for the utilization of multiple partial bands used in the transmission of one or more channel state information (CSI) reference signals (CSI-RSs). The partial bands may be non-consecutive in the frequency domain, time domain, or a combination thereof and each of which may be precoder using a different precoder configuration. The time intervals, cycling granularity, and number of ports may vary between partial bands. Using RSs transmitted via the multiple partial bands, a user equipment (UE) may determine a channel state parameter for each partial band, which may be used for channel feedback.

摘要: Techniques and apparatus for configuring transmission rank and/or precoder(s) to support uplink non-codebook based transmission are provided. One technique includes receiving sounding reference signal (SRS) resource(s) from a user equipment (UE), where each SRS resource is associated with one or more precoded ports. At least one of a transmission rank or a set of precoders is determined based on the SRS resource(s). An indication of at least one of the SRS resource(s) is signaled to the UE. The UE uses the indication of the at least one of the SRS resource(s) to send an uplink transmission.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a basis report for compressed channel state information (CSI) feedback with a non-contiguous subband configuration. A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a CSI report configuration configuring the UE for reporting precoding matrix information including, a plurality of selected beams, a frequency domain compression matrix for each of the beams at each of a plurality of taps in the time domain, and a subset of a plurality of linear combination coefficients associated with the frequency domain compression matrices and beams. The UE receives a configuration of non-contiguous frequency resources for CSI reporting. The UE may perform frequency domain compression of the precoding matrix information using a truncated frequency domain compression matrix or performing separate frequency domain compression of the precoding matrix information for each set of contiguous frequency resources.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify, based at least in part on a codebook, a set of beams to feedback in a channel state information (CSI) feedback communication, and may identify one or more beam groups associated with the set of beams. The UE may select respective one or more transfer domain bases, from a plurality of transfer domain bases, for each beam group of the one or more beam groups, and may determine a plurality of values, for a plurality of bits, that represent beam group identification information associated with the one or more beam groups and transfer domain basis selection information associated with the respective one or more transfer domain bases. The may transmit, to a base station (BS), the plurality of bits in the CSI feedback communication. Numerous other aspects are provided.

摘要: Aspects are provided which allow a user equipment (UE) to identify a low-bandwidth (low-BW) CORESET-0 and associated CSS based on reception bandwidth of the UE. The base station may configure different frequency and time-domain resources of the low-BW CORESET in order to optimize resource utilization of the low-BW CORESET-0, and the low-tier UE may identify these resources of CORESET-0 and CSS from the system configuration information received in a master information block (MIB). As a result, low tier UEs may operate in a same cell as legacy UEs without the need for the base station to transmit additional signaling to either legacy UEs or lower tier UEs for the UEs to receive their respective CORESET-0's and identify a physical downlink channel (PDCCH).

A method that can be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining the size of the intermediate set based on one or more parameters included in the CSI report configuration, determining one or more FD bases for each layer based on the intermediate set, wherein the one or more FD bases are characterized by an M value indicative of a number of the one or more FD bases and based on the CSI report configuration, and reporting the one or more FD bases for each layer based on the size of the intermediate set.
