摘要： The present invention provides a liquid discharging head comprising a substrate having a plurality of heat generating elements for generating a bubble in liquid and a grooved member having a plurality of grooves constituting a plurality of liquid passages and wherein the liquid passages for respective heat generating elements are formed by joining the grooved member to the substrate and further wherein the grooved member has an opening portion into which the substrate is inserted and the opening portion has the plurality of grooves which constitute the liquid passages for the respective heat generating elements when the substrate is inserted into the opening portion.

摘要： A liquid container for a liquid jet recording apparatus comprises a first chamber containing negative pressure producing material and having a liquid outlet connectable to a liquid jet head to supply liquid from the container to the liquid jet head and an air vent for allowing ambient air into the container, wherein the liquid outlet is provided in a bottom portion of the first chamber. A second chamber communicates with the first chamber by a communication path and is substantially hermetically sealed. A wall extends upwardly from the communication path of the first chamber. An ambient air introducing path is provided for between the wall and the negative pressure producing material extending from a point partly up the wall toward the communication path for introducing ambient air into the second chamber.

摘要： A liquid ejecting method for ejecting liquid by generation of a bubble includes preparing a head comprising an ejection outlet for ejecting the liquid, a bubble generation region for generating the bubble in the liquid, a movable member having a fulcrum and a free end portion; and displacing the free end of the movable member by pressure produced by the generation of the bubble in the bubble generating portion wherein the free end of the movable member is restrained from entering the bubble generation region beyond a first position which is taken by the free end of the movable member before generation of the bubble.

摘要： An ink container includes a casing, an air vent which is located in the casing, an ink supply opening for supplying ink out of the casing, and an ink absorbing material that is contained in the casing. The ink absorbing material retains ink therein, and has a generally rectangular parallelopipedal shape defined by sides of the ink absorbing material, and also has an ink supply portion for supplying ink to the ink supply opening. The ink absorbing material includes corner portions which are located between adjacent sides of the ink absorbing material. A preventing means prevents complete surface contact between the casing and said ink absorbing material by providing spaces between the casing and ink absorbing material which are in fluid communication with each other with a given space that is adjacent to a particular one of the corner portions that is most remote from the ink supply portion. The air vent is in fluid communication with the spaces.

摘要： A liquid container for a liquid jet recording apparatus includes a first chamber containing negative pressure producing material and having a liquid outlet. At a lower part of the cartridge and contactable to the liquid jet head, the liquid container supplies liquid from the cartridge to the liquid jet head. An air vent allows ambient air into the cartridge. A second chamber communicates with the first chamber by means of a communication part, except for which the second chamber is substantially hermetically sealed. The second chamber is disposed at the lower part of the cartridge and provides a liquid reservoir for the first chamber. Ambient air is introduced through an air path substantially free of negative pressure producing material, having an inlet in the first chamber separated from the air vent by the negative pressure producing material, and an outlet arranged to be lower than the inlet during use of the cartridge to enable air to be supplied to the second chamber through the negative pressure producing material and the air path as liquid is withdrawn from the liquid outlet.

The bottom surface of the enclosed ink storage portion is located at higher position than the bottom surface of the first and second storage chambers.

The replaceable ink cartridge has a structure that is formed so as to strip the seal member off from the peripheral portions of the ink outlet and the air communicating port in a manner that the air communicating port is opened at first and the ink outlet is opened at second.
