Abstract:
A many-up wiring substrate includes an insulating base substrate in which a plurality of wiring board regions are arranged in at least one of a vertical direction and a horizontal direction; a hole disposed in one main surface of the insulating base substrate, and straddling adjacent wiring board regions of the plurality of wiring board regions or straddling the wiring board regions and a dummy region; a conductor disposed on an inner surface of the hole; and a through hole disposed so as to extend from the inner surface of the hole of the wiring board regions to the other main surface of the insulating base substrate.
Abstract:
A compression format identifying unit identifies the compression format of image data stored in a main memory. A transfer function determining unit determines a transfer function in accordance with the compression format of a tile image thus identified. A convolution operation unit subjects a modification request signal and the transfer function thus determined to convolution operation so as to generate a modification direction signal. A read ahead processor reads a tile image from the main memory using the modification request signal, decodes the image, and writes the decoded image in a buffer memory. A display image processor generates a display image using the modification direction signal.
Abstract:
For an input interface apparatus for recognizing the motion of an object, there may be cases where the brightness of the object to be captured is insufficient, and thus, a camera takes an image of the object operated by the object, a depth position detector detects the position of the object based on captured frames, an action identifying unit identifies an action of the player based on a result on the detection of the object, an input receiving unit receives the action as an instruction to an input-receiving image displayed on a display, and in response to the action, an illumination control unit raises the brightness of the image projected on the display higher than that before the action is detected.
Abstract:
An image hierarchy generation unit reads image data stored in a hard disk drive, generate images with a plurality of resolutions, and hierarchizes the images. An image dividing unit divides the image in each layer into tile images. A redundancy detection unit analyzes the image in each layer so as to detect redundancy between images within the same layer or images from different layers. A tile image reference table creates a tile image reference table that maps area numbers to tile numbers, in view of the redundancy. An image file generation unit creates an image file that should be ultimately output and includes image data and the tile image reference table.
Abstract:
A neighboring vector, which is a boundary portion between two overlapping objects, is extracted. To calculate luminance levels of the objects on both sides of the neighboring vector, a predetermined number of coordinate points (sample points) in the vicinity of the neighboring vector are extracted at least from the image side. A rendering process is performed on an area including all the extracted sample points to acquire color values at the sample points. The luminance level of the image is calculated based on the acquired color values, and the luminance levels of the objects on both sides of the neighboring vector are compared to each other to determine the position (direction) in which to generate a trap graphic.
Abstract:
A timing signal generation unit of a content playback device generates a shutter control signal requesting the opening or closing of a shutter of a lens among one or more lenses of a pair of shutter glasses worn by a user viewing a display panel adapted to display content, and a backlight control signal requesting a backlight of the display panel to be turned on at least when the shutter is open. A transmitter unit transmits the shutter control signal to the shutter glasses. The timing signal generation unit changes at least one of the timing of turning on the backlight or the timing of opening the shutter of the lens of the shutter glasses.
Abstract:
When a single page of a newspaper article or a magazine is displayed using hierarchical data, a guidance area (indicated by a line in the hierarchical data) for each article is defined in a scenario definition file. A plurality of guidance areas are defined in the layer below, i.e., the layer having a resolution of a level that allows characters to be legible, so that the viewer can track the article from start to end. The displayed image is initially guided to the guidance area upon a user request for enlargement. Upon a further request for enlargement, the displayed image is guided to the guidance area at the head of the article. When the user having read the sentence in the guidance area provides an input by indicating a direction or pressing a predetermined button, the displayed image is guided to the guidance area showing the continuation of the sentence.
Abstract:
A main memory stores M-bit gradation image data (M is a natural number). A correction function generating unit generates a correction function in N-bit gradation (N is a natural number, N>M) from image data. A display image generating unit generates display image data using a correction function generated by the correction function generating unit. The display image generating unit uses a correction function so as to generate display image data resulting from correcting image data obtained by decoding compressed image data in M-bit gradation with the restriction of M-bit quantization.
Abstract:
Three-dimensional-model processing apparatus, three-dimensional-model processing methods, and computer programs are provided. In a three-dimensional-model processing apparatus, method, and computer programs, it is determined whether relative positions or relative attitudes of a plurality of three-dimensional objects shown on an image display unit satisfy a predetermined processing execution condition. When it is determined that the processing execution condition is satisfied, distinction information indicating that processing such as pickup or joining of objects is possible is presented. For example, display mode is changed or sound is output for the objects. A user is allowed to immediately find without stress whether an object is at a position where pickup or joining is possible. This improves the efficiency of operation.
Abstract:
For page data containing shadow-casting objects, trap graphics are generated according to the following procedure. First, an ID drawing process is performed for all objects within a page, and based on the process result, a related graphic list indicating relative positional relationships between the objects is generated. Thereafter, an ID drawing process is performed for all objects in the area of each shadow-casting object, excluding the shadow-casting object. The result of the ID drawing process in the shadow-casting object area is reflected in the related graphic list, and thereafter, trap graphics are generated based on settings information in the related graphic list.
