Abstract: The present disclosure discloses example wireless network communication methods and network devices. One example method includes sending a first message to a second network device by a first network device, where the first message includes measurement object information of the first network device. A second message sent by the second network device is received by the first network device, where the second message includes indication information or measurement result information of the first network device, and the indication information indicates whether an inter-system unnecessary handover of a terminal device occurs. The first network device determines, based on the second message, whether the inter-system unnecessary handover of the terminal device occurs.

Abstract: This application provides a communications method and device, and a computer-readable storage medium. The method includes: receiving an uplink data transmission threshold from a first network device, where the uplink data transmission threshold includes both a first transmission threshold and a second transmission threshold or includes a second transmission threshold. The first transmission threshold is used to indicate a maximum size of a data packet supported by the terminal device in a non-connected state on a first uplink carrier, and the second transmission threshold is used to indicate a maximum size of a data packet supported by the terminal device in the non-connected state on a supplementary uplink (SUL) carrier. The method further comprises determining, based on the uplink data transmission threshold and a size of a to-be-transmitted uplink data packet, to transmit, in the non-connected state, the uplink data packet on the first uplink carrier or the SUL carrier.

Abstract: Example grouping methods, apparatuses, and systems are provided. One example method includes receiving, by a central unit, a first interference intensity indication reported by at least one distributed unit. The central unit can then group the at least one distributed unit into at least one first distributed unit group based on the first interference intensity indication. The central unit can then send, to a controller, a distributed unit grouping indication and a second interference intensity indication that corresponds to the at least one first distributed unit group, where the distributed unit grouping indication is used to indicate the at least one first distributed unit group.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide a method for controlling a status of a terminal device, a terminal device, and a network device. Under the method, a terminal device in an inactive state can sent a first request message to a first network device. The first request message includes first identifier information of the terminal device. The terminal device can then receive a first response message sent by the first network device. The first response message is configured to instruct the terminal device to enter an idle state or enter the inactive state. In this way, the terminal device does not need to switch to a connected state in advance, so that signaling overheads can be reduced, and power consumption of the terminal device can be reduced.

Abstract: This application discloses a communication method and an apparatus. In a solution of this application, a base station sends, by using dedicated signaling, at least one random access parameter set to a terminal in a connected mode or an inactive mode. The base station receives a random access request of the terminal in a connected mode or an inactive mode. One of the at least one random access parameter set is used in the random access request. In this application, differentiated random access processes may be performed in different scenarios.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a wireless communication method, a terminal, and an access network device for reducing air interface data transmission overhead. The method includes the following steps: receiving, by an access network device, a first downlink data flow that includes first downlink data and that is sent by a core network device, where the first downlink data flow includes a first flow identifier; and sending, by the access network device, a second downlink data flow that includes the first downlink data to a terminal, where the second downlink data flow includes a second flow identifier. Here the length of the second flow identifier is less than the length of the first flow identifier, and the first flow identifier corresponds to the second flow identifier.

Abstract: A data transmission method and a network device are provided. The method can include: determining, by a first network device, that a terminal device enters an RRC inactive state; sending, by the first network device, a first message to a second network device, where the first message is used to configure the second network device, so that the second network device transmits data for the terminal device in the RRC inactive state; and receiving, by the first network device, an acknowledgment message the first message and sent by the second network device. The second network device can transmit data of the terminal device to the first network device to enable the first network device to send the data to a core network, without having to establish a path between the second network device and the core network for the second network device to send the data to the core network.
