摘要: A method and apparatus are described for a low cost machine-type-communication (LC-MTC) wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) to enhance coverage. An example method for physical broadcast channel (PBCH) enhancement includes receiving system information on an enhanced PBCH (ePBCH). The ePBCH is located in a set of radio frames which is a subset of available radio frames, where the subset includes fewer than all the available radio frames. The ePBCH is received in at least one radio frame of the set of radio frames. An example method for physical random access channel (PRACH) enhancement includes receiving configuration of legacy PRACH resources and enhanced PRACH (ePRACH) resources. The WTRU selects one of legacy PRACH resources or ePRACH resources based on a coverage capability. Another example method for PRACH enhancement includes receiving configuration of ePRACH resources. The ePRACH resources include multiple ePRACH resource types, each ePRACH resource type being associated with a coverage capability.

摘要: Channel state information is reported in periodic and aperiodic reports for multiple component carriers or serving cells. Channel state information may be reported for a subset of aggregated downlink carriers or serving cells. For an aperiodic report, the carrier(s)/serving cell(s) for which channel state information is reported are determined based on the request for the aperiodic report. When a CQI/PMI/RI report and a HARQ ACK/NACK report coincide in a subframe, the HARQ ACK/NACK report is transmitted on PUCCH, and the CQI/PMI/RI report is transmitted on PUSCH.

摘要: A method and apparatus are described for allocating resources for an enhanced physical hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) channel (E-PHICH). A subset of an enhanced physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH) may be allocated for use by the E-PHICH. The E-PDCCH may be defined by at least one of enhanced resource element groups (eREGs) and enhanced control channel elements (eCCEs). Each eCCE may be formed by grouping a plurality of eREGs. Each eREG may contain at least one resource element (RE). Alternatively, a subset of eREGs may be allocated as E-PHICH resources. E-PDCCH physical resource block (PRB) pairs may be selected as a resource for the E-PHICH. An indication of the number of the eCCEs may be broadcast to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU).

摘要: Embodiments contemplate methods, systems, and apparatuses for interference measurement in a wireless communication network, including wireless communication networks the employ MIMO in uplink and/or downlink communication. Embodiments contemplate identifying one or more interference measurement resource elements that may be received from one or more transmission points. Embodiments also contemplate performing interference measurement estimation based at least in part on the identified one or more interference measurement resource elements. Channel state information (CSI) perhaps in the form of reports may be generated based at least in part on the one or more interference measurement estimation. Embodiments also contemplate that the CSI report may be transmitted to one or more nodes. In some embodiments, the one or more interference measurement resource elements may be received as part of a set of resource elements.

The processor configured to generate the MU-MIMO downlink transmission including: allocating a first set of the REs, as first resources, to the first spatial layer for the first WTRU, and a second set of the REs, as second resources, to the second spatial layer for the second WTRU, mapping a first WTRU-specific reference signal (RS) associated with the first WTRU on a subset of the first resources, and a second WTRU-specific RS associated with the second WTRU on a subset of the second resources, muting allocated REs of the first resources overlapping with the subset of the second resources used for the second WTRU-specific RS, and allocated REs of the second resources overlapping with the subset of the first resources used for the first WTRU-specific RS. The transmitter configured to send the MU-MIMO downlink transmission.

A user equipment device may be configured to transmit uplink control information and other feedback for several downlink component carriers using one or more uplink component carriers. The user equipment device may be configured to transmit such data using a physical uplink control channel rather than a physical uplink shared channel. The user equipment device may be configured to determine the uplink control information and feedback data that is to be transmitted, the physical uplink control channel resources to be used to transmit the uplink control information and feedback data, and how the uplink control information and feedback data may be transmitted over the physical uplink control channel.

摘要: Communications may be performed in a communications system using multi-dimensional antenna configurations. A WTRU may receive communications from a base station via one or more channels. The communications may be performed using multiple component codebooks. The WTRU may send channel state information (CSI) feedback for each component codebook to the base station for consideration when performing communications with the WTRU. The WTRU may determine the CSI feedback for each component codebook based on channel measurements. The component codebooks may include a horizontal component codebook and/or a vertical component codebook. The WTRU may send the CSI feedback for each component codebook to the base station independently or in the form of a composite codebook. The WTRU may determine a composite codebook a function of the component codebooks.

摘要: Systems and methods for managing and/or improving interference in cells may be provided. For example, in embodiments, a partial-band Almost Blank Subframe (PB-ABS) subframe and/or a spatial Almost Blank Subframe (SABS) may be provided and/or used for coordinating communication with in networks with smaller and larger cells (e.g. pico or macro cells). For example, a PB-ABS may provide a dimension (e.g. frequency) that may be used to define a region and/or particular resources (e.g. resource blocks) reserved for pico cell operations or transmissions and a region or other resources (e.g. not those reserved for pico cell operations) available for macro cell operations or transmissions. Additionally, based on beam parameters (e.g. associated with cell partitioning), SABS may offer an additional dimension (e.g. spatial) that may be used to prevent transmission in a particular spatial direction.
