Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to uplink location measurement report (LMR) feedback. A device may perform availability window negotiation during a negotiation phase of a location determination associated with a first initiating device of one or more initiating devices. The device may determine a status of a first LMR associated with the first initiating device. The device may cause to send a polling request to one more initiating devices during a first availability window. The device may identify a polling response from at least one of the one or more initiating devices. The device may perform one or more sounding measurements with the at least one of the one or more initiating devices during a measurement phase. The device may cause to send a trigger frame to the at least one of the one or more initiating devices.

Abstract: An access point (AP), station (STA) and method of providing synchronizing the STA are generally described. The STA may transmit to the AP a Fine Timing Measurement (FTM) request and/or trigger frame. The STA may capture a STA Time Synchronization Function (TSF) value of the time the FTM request/trigger frame is transmitted to the AP as determined by the STA. The AP may determine an AP TSF value of the time the of the FTM request/trigger frame was transmitted by the AP as determined by the AP and transmit at least part of the AP TSF time to the STA in a FTM response frame. The STA may compare the STA TSF value and the AP STA value and adjust the STA TSF dependent on the difference between the AP TSF value and the STA TSF value to synchronize to the AP TSF value.

Abstract: The disclosure generally relates FTM measurements using a network of Access Points (APs) and FTM responders to provide location information to an inquiring mobile device. In one embodiment, the disclosure provides significant power conservation by allowing an AP to communicate with the user equipment (e.g., mobile device) seeking its location. The AP can relay information about availability of an FTM Responder to the user equipment thereby directing the user equipment to transmit its FTM Request directly to the FTM Responder during the Responder's availability window. The disclosed embodiment enable significant power conservation for the FTM Responder thereby extending the battery life of the Responder.
