    摘要: AN IPTV receiver and a method of discovering an IPTV service are provided. A network interface transmits and receives an IP packet through a network. An IP network stack checks a destination of the received IP packet and classifies the IP packet according to a protocol. A Service Information (SI) decoder parses a service provider discovery record included in the IP packet to read registration server address information included in the service provider discovery record and parses a provision information record included in the IP packet to read EPG discovery information included in the provision information record. An IPTV Terminal Function (ITF) operation controller controls a request of a registration to be transmitted based on the read registration server address information controlling a request of a registration to be transmitted based on the read registration server address information for receiving the provision information record.

    摘要: A region rating table includes a number of rating dimensions and a number of rating levels. The rating dimensions may be identified by an index. Also, one or more rating level tags are added to the rating levels. The rating level tags identify each rating level within a rating dimension uniquely. The rating region table may be downloaded to the receiver for the user to set blocking preferences. A content advisory description may be specified. When content is received, it is analyzed to determine if it should be blocked based on the dimension index and the rating level tag. If the content is acceptable, it is not blocked, and if it is not acceptable, then it is blocked. Using the rating level tag to identify a rating level within a dimension allows changes to be made to the region rating table without creating unwanted blocking behavior and viewer confusion.

    摘要: A transmitting/receiving system and a data processing method of the same are disclosed herein. The receiving system may include a receiving unit, a first processing unit, and a second processing unit. The receiving unit receives a broadcast signal including mobile service data and an FIC segment from at least one slot. Herein, a transmission frame may be configured of a plurality of sub-frames for receiving at least one ensemble and at least one mobile service, and a sub-frame may be configured of a plurality of slots. The a first processing unit extracts FIC segments each having a different FIC chunk major protocol version from the broadcast signal, and acquires a number of the corresponding FIC segment, a number of the last FIC segment, and FIC chunk major protocol version information from each segment header of the extracted FIC segments. The second processing unit obtains an FIC chunk including signaling information between at least one ensemble and at least one mobile service frame from respective payloads of the FIC segments, based upon the acquired number of the corresponding FIC segment, number of the last FIC segment, and FIC chunk major protocol version information.
