Abstract:
A process is disclosed for regeneration of an activated carbon, characterized by inclusion therein of polymerized phosphoric acid, after having been spent by use in purification and decolorization of hydrocarbon fuel, particularly gasoline. The invention process includes the steps of evaporation of gasoline, devolatization of color bodies, and oxidation of color body residues, which steps may be carried out sequentially or accomplished in a single unit operation.
Abstract:
An activated carbon, disclosed as useful in purification and decolorization of hydrocarbon fuel, particularly gasoline, is characterized by inclusion therein of polymerized phosphoric acid or reduced transition metals. Phosphoric acid may be added to a non-phosphoric acid-activated carbon (such as steam activated coal-based) prior to the subsequent heat treatment or one can take advantage of residual phosphoric acid present in, for example, a phosphoric acid-activated wood-based carbon. Similarly, transition metals such as copper may be added to an activated carbon in a salt form in addition to whatever is already present therein as impurities. The conversion of phosphoric acid to a polymerized phosphate content or reduction of transition metals to a reduced form results from the activated carbon having been treated with inert gas or carbon dioxide at from about 1200° F. to about 1800° F. for at least 5 minutes. Alternatively, the conversion of phosphoric acid to a polymerized phosphate content can occur during phosphoric acid activation of carbon at activation temperatures in the range of 1150°-1600° F.

Abstract:
An enhanced uplink user equipment is in soft handover. A radio network controller selects a primary Node-B out of a plurality of Node-Bs supporting the soft handover. The radio network controller receiving successfully received enhanced uplink data packets from the plurality of Node-Bs. The radio network controller reordered the successfully received enhanced uplink data packets for in-sequence deliver. The primary Node-B sends specified scheduling information to the user equipment that the other Node-Bs does not transmit. At least the primary Node-B transmits acknowledgements and negative acknowledgements to the user equipment.
Abstract:
An ESD protection system for I/O cells of an integrated circuit. The I/O cells of a bank of cells include a first type of I/O cells having ESD trigger circuits and a second type of I/O cells having ESD clamp devices. In one embodiment, the ESD trigger circuits of the first type are located at the same area of an active circuitry floor plan as the area in the floor plan for the ESD clamp devices of the I/O cells of the second type.
Abstract:
A composition that includes a thermally conductive filler material that is fully wetted out by and encapsulated within a first polymer having a low tensile modulus, which in turn is uniformly dispersed throughout a second polymer resin. Since a low modulus polymer encapsulates the filler material, the interface adhesion between the second polymer resin and the encapsulated thermally conductive additives is improved thereby serving to enhance the mechanical properties of the resulting molded product. Similarly, a method is provided wherein a thermally conductive filler material is fully mixed into a first resin having a low tensile modulus. This resin and filler mixture is then incorporated and uniformly dispersed throughout a second resin to form a highly thermally conductive polymer molding composition.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a roll-up partition and a strap recoiler for use with a roll-up partition comprising a quick release mechanism on the strap recoiler, wherein activation of the quick release mechanism causes the roll-up partition to move to a desired position.
Abstract:
A non-abrasive scrubbing pad is a scrubbing pad used for cleaning projects. The net scrubbing pad is made from tulle netting fabric, which is fine in nature and virtually incapable of causing damage. The non-abrasive scrubbing pad is sewn together using thread in a chain-stitch pattern, which is extremely durable and long lasting. The non-abrasive scrubbing pad is available in one-ply designs, which would be used for light-duty cleaning tasks, and a two-ply design, which would be used for tougher cleaning jobs. It is envisioned that the non-abrasive scrubbing pad would be available in multiple sizes for all types of cleaning jobs, such as kitchen cleaning, floor cleaning, automobile cleaning ad the like. The use of the non-abrasive scrubbing pad provides users the ability to safely and quickly clean all types of fine finished surfaces without the danger of scratching or damage.
Abstract:
An imaging system for correcting a bias in the location edges in an image is provided. The imaging system comprises an image processor configured to detect edges in an image of a given substructure, characterize a blurring factor in the image and correct a bias in the detected edges in the of a given substructure using the blurring factor.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for a shared line Find-Me-Follow-Me (FMFM) voicemail application. Each person sharing a telephone number is provided a sub mailbox with FMFM contact numbers individually configured for each user sub mailbox. The invention further provides a method and apparatus for dynamic out dial determination that removes numbers from the FMFM contact number list that match numbers in the inbound call path to avoid looping. The present invention further provides a method and apparatus for FMFM call path duplication of the inbound call path onto the out dial call information to provide caller identification for the original calling party after the call is forwarded or processed using FMFM.
