Abstract:
A link table is generated, voice information is associated by dot patterns, and then, voice information associated with the dot pattern is reproduced from a speaker when the dot pattern is read by means of a scanner. In this manner, the dot pattern is printed on a surface of a material such as a picture book or a card, making it possible to play back voice information corresponding to a pattern or a story of a picture book and to play back voice information corresponding to a character described on the card. In addition, by means of a link table, new voice information can be associated with, dissociated from, or changed to, a new dot pattern.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an information recorder includes: a determination module; a storage module; a reader; and a writer. The determination module determines whether a position of a head for writing data is off a target track of a recording medium. The storage module temporarily stores therein data written by the head. The reader reads, if it is determined that the head is positioned off the target track, first data written in a sector which is considered overwritten by the head positioned off the target track among sectors of an adjacent track adjacent to the target track, from the storage module. The writer writes, if it is determined that the head is positioned off the target track, the first data into a sector positioned later than the sector into which data is written at the time the head is positioned off the target track.
Abstract:
A magnetic recording apparatus includes: a magnetic disk; a drive device; a magnetic disk control device; a buffer; and a flag management table. The buffer reads data of a specific block unit from a designated read range on the magnetic disk. The flag management table stores a pointer indicating the read location of the buffer for data of each of the block units and a management flag for the pointer. The magnetic disk control device sets the management flag of the pointer corresponding to a given block unit when the data of the given block unit is read to the buffer.
Abstract:
A recording apparatus for recording data of a moving image and a still image onto an optical disk, includes a converter for converting the data of the still image into moving image data in the same format as the data of the moving image when the optical disk is finalized, a controller for controlling, based on a predetermined condition, the decision of the converter as to whether to convert the data of the still image into the moving image data, and a recorder for recording the moving image data converted by the converter onto the optical disk.
Abstract:
A train control device includes a first acquisition unit for acquiring a change history of open block numbers as the number of blocks existing between a present train and a leading train, a setting unit for setting a brake pattern having a starting point coinciding with an end point of a block existing just behind a block occupied by the leading train, and a calculating unit for calculating a time taken for the leading train to come out from the block existing just behind the block occupied by the leading train and for calculating, as a target speed, the highest speed available within a range not conflicting with the brake pattern.
Abstract:
A technology that enables accurate position specification on an image displayed on a screen to perform processing and correction of the image data is provided. When the image is printed on a sheet on which a dot pattern is printed, a reference point of the image on the display device is set and the reference point is printed in a visible mark together with the image. This mark is imaged with an imaging means, and calibration is performed in which position coordinates of the marks on the sheet and the reference points of the image are matched, thereby preventing variation in coordinates between designation made on the sheet with the imaging means and processing on the image.

Abstract:
A printing medium that is capable of expressing vivid colors without increasing the number of colors and capable of suppressing a printing cost of a dot pattern printing, an information processing method, and an information processing device that use the printing medium are provided that make it possible to perform superposed printing of a graphic and a dot pattern with one color without using inks having different frequency characteristics. A dot pattern includes grid dots arranged in accordance with a predetermined rule for defining information with halftone dots that are superimposed and printed. The printing medium is printed in a way in which dots on the printing medium are detected from brightness information recorded in bitmap image data by a predetermined method and the dots are determined either as the grid dots that constitute the dot pattern or the halftone dots by an image analysis processing unit.
Abstract:
A dot pattern including a block defined as a rectangular area of a square or a rectangle of a medium face, such as printed matter. A straight line in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction configuring a frame of the block each are defined as a standard grid line. Virtual reference grid points are provided at predetermined intervals on the reference grid line. Reference grid point dots are placed on respective virtual reference grid points. Straight lines that connect the virtual reference grid points to each other and are parallel to the reference grid lines are defined as grid lines. A point of intersection of grid lines is defined as a virtual grid point. A dot pattern is generated by arranging one or a plurality of information dots, each of which has a distance and a direction around the virtual grid point.
Abstract:
In a semiconductor device manufactured in a semiconductor chip, an internal circuit generates first and second internal circuit control signals which are produced as a delay time measurement start signal and a delay time measurement stop signal, respectively, which are sent to a delay time measurement circuit. The delay time measurement circuit measures a delay time between the start and the stop signals and outputs the delay time.
