The present method can be a method for providing a personalized service, the method comprising the steps of: receiving, by a receiving module, a personalization table including at least one personalization question about personalized service provision; acquiring an answer to the at least one personalization question from a user, and storing the answer, by a personalization module; receiving, by the receiving module, first filtering criteria including personalization reference information about a particular service; and comparing, by a filtering module, the personalization reference information of the received first filtering criteria with the stored answer, and if they match, receiving, by the receiving module, service data about the particular service.

Provided is a broadcast reception device providing emergency alert information for notifying an emergency situation. The device includes: a broadcast reception unit receiving a transmission packet for transmitting the emergency alert information through a transmission path included in a physical layer, which is one a plurality of layers for transmitting a broadcast signal and is for transmitting/receiving a broadcast signal through a physical medium; and a control unit obtaining the emergency alert information by decoding the transmission packet.

The present invention provides a method of transmitting broadcast signals. The method includes, receiving an uncompressed broadcast content from an external receiving unit, wherein an watermark is embedded in a frame of the uncompressed broadcast content; extracting the embedded watermark from the uncompressed broadcast content; parsing the extracted watermark; generating an URL by using information in the parsed watermark; and launching an application by using the generated URL, wherein the application provides the interactive services related to the uncompressed broadcast content.

The present invention includes generating an application parameter table which includes information about at least one of applications, wherein the application parameter table includes a first identifier and a second identifier, wherein the first identifier identifies a interactive programming segment which application parameter table pertains to, and wherein the second identifier identifies an application within the scope of application parameter table; generating an activation message file that indicates at least one of activation times of the applications, wherein the activation message file includes a third identifier and activation messages, wherein the third identifier matches the first identifier of application parameter table which contains the applications, wherein the activation message includes a fourth identifier and a start time information, wherein the fourth identifier matches the second identifier of the application in the application parameter table, and wherein the start time information indicates the start time for an event targeted to the application relative to segment time; generating a multi-part message with the application parameter table as the first part and the activation message file as the second part; and transmitting the multi-part message to receiver via HTTP.
