摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications, and more specifically to managing narrowband regions of system bandwidths for devices with limited communications resources, such as machine type communication(s) (MTC) devices and enhanced MTC (eMTC) devices. An example method generally includes determining a set of downlink (DL) narrowband regions partitioned from a DL system bandwidth, determining a set of uplink (UL) narrowband regions partitioned from an UL system bandwidth, determining a mapping between the set of DL narrowband regions and the set of UL narrowband regions, and communicating with at least a base station (BS) using at least one of the mapped narrowband regions.

摘要: A method of wireless communication of a user equipment (UE) includes communicating with a base station using a baseline channel code. The UE indicates to the base station, using the baseline channel code, support for an additional channel code that is different than the baseline channel code. The UE receives, from the base station, an indication to operate using the additional channel code. Then, the UE receives a first transmission on first set of resources and a second transmission on a second set of resources from the base station, the first transmission being encoded with the baseline channel code and the second transmission being encoded with the additional channel code.

An example method is provided for operations which may be performed by a BS to generate and transmit a dual-layer PSS, and correspondingly, techniques for a UE to detect the dual-layer PSS. The PSS may be generated utilizing a binary code cover and at least one sequence applied to a number of symbols within one or more subframes of a frame.

摘要: Techniques described herein use a wakeup signal to indicate to a user equipment (UE) whether an upcoming control channel signal resource includes information relevant to the UE. In this way, the UE can wake up to perform complex control channel signal processing only when the control channel includes signals relevant to the UE, thereby conserving battery power and resources of the UE. Such techniques are particularly suited to MTC UEs, NB-IoT UEs, and/or the like, which may communicate with a network only occasionally, and which may be located in remote locations where changing or recharging a battery is difficult.

摘要: Techniques for signaling dynamic control region for PRACH transmission are described. In an aspect, the disclosure describes a method for receiving, at a user equipment (UE), an indication of a number of control symbols that the UE is to assume when transmitting physical random access channel (PRACH), and transmitting, by the UE, the PRACH over one or more slots based on the number of control symbols. In another aspect, the disclosure describes a method for generating, at a network device, an indication of a number of control symbols that a UE is to assume when transmitting PRACH, transmitting, by the network device, the indication to the UE. A UE and network device configuration as well as apparatuses and computer-readable medium related to these methods are also described.

摘要: Various devices, methods, and processes are provided for handling conflicting and/or redundant power control and triggering information for transmitting reference signal(s) such as sounding reference signal (SRS) using carrier aggregation (CA). A user equipment (UE) receives a first downlink control information (DCI) and a second DCI including SRS control information that is in conflict with that of the first DCI, for controlling SRS transmission on a component carrier (CC). The UE determines a resolution to reconcile the conflict between the DCIs. Then the UE can transmit an SRS on the CC in accordance with the resolution.
