摘要： An LGA connector contact (30) includes a base (31), and a pair of spring arms (32) extending from the base. Each of the spring arms includes an extending section (320), a connecting section (321), and a contacting section (322) adapted for engaging a circuit board's contact pad. The contacting section has an exterior side and an interior side with a recess (323) on the exterior side of the contacting section around a middle portion of the contacting section so as to define at least a pair of contact regions (324) adjacent the recess. The LGA contacting portion is configured to have its contact regions electrically engage with an un-oxidized portion of the circuit board's contact pad, thereby achieving an effective electrical connection between the LGA connector contact and the corresponding circuit board pad.

摘要： An electrical connector includes a housing (2). A floor (20) is defined in a middle of the housing and a plurality of side walls (22) is defined therearound. The side walls and the floor cooperatively define a substantially rectangular cavity (24) therebetween. A plurality of passageways (26) is defined in the floor for receiving a corresponding number of electrical contacts (3) therein. Each contact includes an arm (30) extending beyond the floor for contacting with corresponding contacting pad of the LGP (4). All the arms extend in a plurality of rows, parallel to one diagonal of the floor, and the arms in a same row are arranged side by side. Each passage includes an upper receiving portion extending into an adjacent passage in the same line, therefore, the passages in the same line are stringed, and a continuous support member is formed between two rows of stringed passages.

摘要： An electrical connector (10) includes a housing (20) defining an upper surface (22) and a bottom surface (23), and a plurality of terminals (30) received in the housing. The housing defines a plurality of passageways (21) for accommodating the terminals therein. Each terminal comprises a contacting portion (31), a medial portion (32) fastened in the passageway, and a soldering portion (33) extending below the bottom surface. The medial portion defines a pair of wings (320) extending toward the soldering portion. A distance is configured between distal ends of the wings and the bottom surface of the housing. A method for manufacturing said electrical connector comprises such steps as: locating the soldering portions in corresponding recesses of a tool, pushing the tool toward the housing along a direction from the bottom surface to the upper surface, till a predetermined distance is configured between distal ends and the bottom surface.

摘要： An electrical connector (1) is used for electrically connecting a ball grid array (BGA) central processing unit (CPU) (3) with a printed circuit board (PCB). The connector includes a generally rectangular insulative housing (10) and a number of terminals (20) received in the housing. Each of the terminals includes a connecting portion (200), a solder pad (202) extending from a bottom end of the connecting portion, and a cantilever (204) extending aslant from a top end of the connecting portion. The cantilever has a concave portion (206) near a free end thereof. When the CPU with a multiplicity of solder balls is attached onto the connector, the concave portions of the terminals cover bottom portions of the solder balls. Therefore, the terminals of the connector electrically connect with the solder balls of the CPU steadily, and a reliable connection between the CPU and the PCB is established.

摘要： A contact module with connectors adapted to engage with first and second electrical conductors such that when resiliently interfaced with the conductors there is a net zero moment of inertia exerted on the conductors. Each individual connector exerts a resilient spring force to engage with an electrical conductor. When such resilient forces, as in the prior art are aggregated, they can exert a considerable vectored moment of inertia on the electrical conductors to which they are connected. The connectors of the present invention are arranged so that each individual connector has an opposing connector somewhere in the module to offset each individual moment of inertia so that the net sum of all moments on the interfacing electrical conductor is zero.

The base forms a pair of receiving elements (141) on front and end sides respectively. Each receiving element includes a body portion (142), a pair of spaced top portion (143) each having slits (144) extending therethrough and an aperture (145) extending therethrough. A sensor is received in the aperture to provide signals to a controller during being operated at high temperature. The controller can reliably control the temperature of the whole assembly in light of the signals from the sensor, thereby avoiding damage of the IC by exorbitant temperature.
