    摘要: An alkaline storage battery has an electrode terminal that is inserted in a penetration hole, and disposed astride an inside of a battery case and an outside of the battery case, and fastened to a hole periphery portion via a packing. The negative terminal has a seal portion that, together with the hole periphery portion, clamps and compresses the packing to liquid-tightly seal the penetration hole. The seal portion includes an annular seal surface located facing the hole periphery portion, and a seal periphery surface located around the seal surface. The seal surface is protruded from the seal periphery surface toward the hole periphery portion. The surface roughness Ry of the seal surface of the negative terminal is 15 μm or less.

    摘要: An electrophotographic toner is formed as a blend of toner particles and external additives. The external additives include (1) first inorganic fine particles having an average primary particle size of 80-800 nm of oxide of a metal selected from the group consisting of titanium, aluminum, zinc and zirconium, (2) second inorganic fine particles other than silica having an average primary particle size of below 80 nm and (3) silica fine particles having an average primary particle size of below 30 nm. As a result, the toner can be made free from difficulties, such as melt-sticking onto an image-bearing member in a low humidity environment, roughening of halftone images in a low humidity environment, toner blot-down after storage at high temperatures or in continuous image formation on a large number of sheets, fog in continuous formations of images of low color area percentage in a low humidity environment, and re-transfer in multi-color image formation. Thus, the toner is suitably used in a multi-color image forming system.

    摘要: A data processor transfers a data stream, which is stored on a storage medium, to a connected device. The data stream includes attribute information that specifies the format of the data stream. The data processor includes: an interface section, which communicates with the device to acquire format information about a format that is compatible with the device; a reading section for reading the attribute information and the data stream from the storage medium; a reading control section for determining, by the attribute information and the format information, whether or not the format of the data stream needs to be converted; and a converting section for outputting the data stream either after having converted the format of the data stream into the one specified by the format information or without converting the format of the data stream as determined by the reading control section. The interface section transmits the data stream, which has been output from the converting section, to the device.

Thus, the toner is suitably used in a multi-color image forming system.

The binder resin has a polycarbonate resin in an amount of from 0.1% by weight to 50.0% by weight and a resin other than the polycarbonate resin in an amount of from 50.0% by weight to 99.9% by weight, based on the weight of the binder resin. In molecular weight distribution as measured by gel permeation chromatography of tetrahydrofuran-soluble matter, the toner contains in an amount of 15.0% by weight or less based on the weight of the toner a component which has in its structure a repeating unit of the polycarbonate resin and is contained in components having a molecular weight of 1,000 or less.
