Abstract:
The present invention relates to a personal use device, preferably a toothbrush, a shaving device, or a hair removal device. The invention relates to a refill pack for such a personal use device, having a supply container (2), particularly a supply bag, containing at least one hygiene or care substance such as toothpaste or the like, and a pump (3) tightly connected to the supply container, the pump chamber of which is connected to the interior (6) of the supply container via an input valve (5). By deformation of a membrane which bounds the pump chamber (7), the pump chamber volume can be changed. The invention also relates to a method for filling such a refill pack.
Abstract:
A safety system for occupants of a vehicle having, e.g., acceleration sensors and/or pressure sensors for sensing a side crash. The safety system also includes a detector to detect the lateral velocity of the vehicle. The control of the restraining devices of the safety system is able to be influenced by the detected lateral velocity.
Abstract:
A device and a method for transmitting an activation decision for an actuator system from a first to at least one second control unit is provided, the second control unit activating the actuator system as a function of at least two messages from the first control unit.
Abstract:
An oil-injected compressor, with an oil circuit for lubrication, and an oil separating device which is used to separate the oil from the compressed air. A self-resetting temperature switch, which is used to switch off the compressor unit when the maximum temperature limit of the incoming compressed air is reached, is provided in the region of the inlet of the compressed air, which contains oil, in the oil separating device. At least one non-self-resetting additional temperature switch is provided in the internal area of the oil separating device, which immediately switches off the compressor unit following a fire or an explosion of the compressed air, which contains oil, and which is contained in the oil separating device.
Abstract:
A method is provided for generating a triggering decision for a restraint system, in which method the triggering decision is generated as a function of a conjunction of the vehicle lateral acceleration and a rate of rotation. The vehicle lateral acceleration is additionally subjected to a threshold value decision, the respective threshold value being set as a function of at least one component of the velocity of the vehicle's center of gravity.
Abstract:
A passenger protection device in a motor vehicle includes at least one airbag, at least one gas generator for filling the airbag, an airbag control device for activating the airbag, means for acquiring the deployment speed of the airbag, and means for regulating the filling quantity of the airbag, taking into account its deployment speed. In order for the passenger protection device to implement a controlled filling of the airbag dependent on its deployment speed, at least one flow-off valve is provided that is situated between the gas generator and the airbag. In addition, controllable actuating means are provided for the sealing of the flow-off valve.
Abstract:
A safety apparatus for a motor vehicle, comprising: a plurality of occupant protection devices and sensors associated with them; a processing device that checks whether the occupant protection devices and/or associated sensors are in operation and/or properly functional, and ascertains status information therefrom; and an output device that, in consideration of all the status information, communicates the operating status possessed by each individual occupant protection device and/or sensor. Also described is a method for communicating the status of a safety apparatus of a motor vehicle.
Abstract:
An apparatus for detecting a vehicle rollover includes a sensor suite for sensing vehicle dynamics data, the sensor suite being connected to a processor which is configured in such a way that the processor detects a vehicle rollover as a function of the vehicle dynamics data and the rollover sensor suite. The processor has means for dividing an operating state of the vehicle into chronologically successive phases. In particular, the processor has means for determining, for each phase, a float angle and a transverse vehicle velocity from the vehicle dynamics data; the float angle and the transverse vehicle velocity being used, together with the data from the rollover sensor suite, for detection of the vehicle rollover.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a tensioner for traction drives which includes a base element and a tension roller support arranged partly concentric with each other, and further including a torsion spring which is guided on a bush and braces these two elements against each other. According to the invention, a tension bush (20) which includes a longitudinal slot (21) is inserted between the bush (6) and the inner diameter of the torsion spring (13) so as to bear against the inner periphery of the torsion spring (13).
