The method comprising receiving a channel quality indicators (CQI) of a cross-subframe from user equipment (UE), wherein the cross-subframe is a downlink subframe that is interfered by an uplink subframe in a neighboring cell; determining if the UE should be scheduled during cross-subframes based on at least the CQI; scheduling the UE during the cross-subframes if the UE is determined to be scheduled. By means of measuring and reporting CQIs on cross-subframe at UEs, base stations may determine more accurately if interferences at the cross-subframes are severe enough and if resources should be scheduled at the cross-subframe.

According to the embodiments of the present invention, a macro cell includes multiple transmission points, the method can comprise receiving the channel quality information which is measured by a user equipment based on a cell specific reference signal; obtaining channel matrix information the multiple transmission points; calculating beamforming information on a single cell transmission and a coordinated multi-point transmission based on the channel matrix information; and estimating the channel quality information for the single cell transmission and the coordinated multi-point transmission based on the channel quality information, the channel matrix information, and the beamforming information. With embodiments of the present invention, it is possible to provide coordinated multi-point gains with no overhead introduced and it is compatible with the existing available user equipments.
