    摘要: An access terminal of a wireless communication system includes: an antenna; a transceiver; a load level monitor communicatively coupled to the transceiver and configured to receive, from the transceiver via the antenna, and analyze indications of reverse link wireless network traffic load over a period of time in a region of the wireless network containing the access terminal; a load level module configured to combine the indications over the period of time to determine a load level associated with the access terminal; and a transmission module configured to cause the transceiver to change from transmitting data packets in accordance with a first value of a transmission characteristic to transmitting data packets in accordance with a second value of the transmission characteristic in response to the load level being below a first load threshold value.

In an aspect, provided is a method of wireless communication, which may include determining whether a current transmit time interval (TTI) is relevant for computing the uplink channel capacity estimate, determining the transmission type of the current TTI where the current TTI is relevant, determining whether data is transmitted during the current TTI, computing a data capacity value based on at least one upload channel parameter, summing the data capacity values of TTIs from a window length start TTI to the current TTI to generate a data capacity sum, computing the uplink channel capacity estimate as a ratio of the data capacity sum to a total time period of all relevant TTIs during a window length interval, and accordingly adjusting a transmission rate of output traffic.

The first carrier-specific RF connection matrix module can be adapted to route a first downlink transmission to one or more remote antenna units for transmission on a first carrier. The second carrier-specific RF connection matrix module can be adapted to route a second downlink transmission to one or more remote antenna units for transmission on a second carrier. Methods for facilitating simulcasting and de-simulcasting may include receiving a signal associated with a sector ID, which signal includes a first downlink transmission for a first carrier and a second downlink transmission for a second carrier. The first downlink transmission can be routed to one or more remote antenna units for transmission on the first carrier. The second downlink transmission can be routed to one or more remote antenna units for transmission on the second carrier.

In an exemplary aspect, data packet communication is implemented in 3GPP LTE Rel. 8 wherein the uplink has a Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiplex (SC-FDM) uplink waveform. The UE performs open loop power control by a determining transmit power spectral density value by using received energy per symbol for a reference signal.

When data is not being received at the mobile device, the diversity receive chain(s) may be disabled in order to reduce power consumed at the mobile device. The diversity receive chain(s) may be enabled/disabled according to one or more different algorithms based on idle time from the receipt and/or transmission of data. The amount of idle time that triggers the disabling of a diversity receive chain may be adaptive based on historical usage of the mobile device, or based on activity on the transmit chain of the mobile device.

    摘要: A method for processing forward link channel signals generated by a CDMA base station includes time sharing by several mobile stations of spreading codes, which are orthogonal codes such as Walsh Code, and code-combining soft/softer handoff across sectors in the mobile station active set to increase dimensions on the CDMA2000 and WCDMA downlink while minimizing intra-sector interference. Since different parts of a packet or frame are transmitted to the user by the different base stations in the active set, earlier decoding and therefore early packet termination is enabled.
