In the present invention, an RNC periodically transmits control messages related to MBMS RB setup to UEs. Thus, although a UE initially fails to receive an intended MBMS service, it can set up an MBMS RB by receiving a related retransmitted control message. Also, the RNC periodically provides information about ongoing MBMS services on a cell basis so that a UE can decide whether its requested MBMS service is in progress and request information required to set up an MBMS RB for the MBMS service to the RNC by individual signaling.

A serving General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) support node (SGSN), determines an identifier indicating the second service and a coefficient related to paging occasions for transmitting a paging instance indicating presence/absence of paging information related to the second service in response to a request for the second service from UEs, and transmits the determined identifier and coefficient to a radio network controller (RNC). The RNC transmits the identifier and the coefficient to the UEs, determines the paging occasions and transmission times of the paging instance in each of the paging occasions by using the identifier and the coefficient, and transmits the paging instances over a first channel at the transmission times of the paging instances for each of the paging occasions so that the UEs recognize presence/absence of the paging information.

    摘要: This invention provides a paging method for Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service in mobile communication system. The paging process and radio resource setup process are merged in this method to try to reduce uplink responses. This invention extends existing PCH IubFP frame structure by adding MBMS Indication bit(MI) to PCH IubFP frame. The PCH IubFP frame includes Paging Indication (PI) and Paging Message. Paging message carries MBMS service information. MBMS Service Identity or MBMS Paging Indicator is added to the reserved 12 bits in Paging Indicator Channel (PICH) frame structure. Radio Network Controller (RNC) transfers Paging Indicator Message and paging message to Base Station (Node B) so as to send over the air-interface.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method for synchronizing a scrambling code in a CDMA communication system including a UTRAN (UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network) and a plurality of user equipments (UEs), using orthogonal codes for identifying the UEs and a single scrambling code for identifying the UTRAN by the UEs, and employing an uplink synchronous transmission scheme (USTS) where the UEs synchronize frames of uplink dedicated physical channels (DPCHs) using the single scrambling code. The UEs receive a reference signal including reference time information provided from the UTRAN and transmit a random access channel (RACH) based on the reference time. The UTRAN receives the random access channels from the UEs to measure a propagation delay time (PD) of each random access channel signal from the UEs, and transmits a transmission time adjustment value calculated using the measured propagation delay time and a time offset τDPCH,n between a transmission time point of the reference signal and a transmission time point of a downlink DPCH. Each UE determines a transmission time of the uplink DPCH by receiving the transmission time adjustment value, and scrambles a message with the orthogonal code and a scrambling code generated at the reference time, at the transmission time so determined as to transmit the message over the uplink DPCH.

    摘要: A method of performing an inter-RAT measurement for a handover from NB-TDD to GSM is provided. A UE, as it moves from an NB-TDD Node B to a GSM cell, receives a measurement control message from the NB-TDD Node B. The UE then measures the strength of a signal received from the GSM cell and verifies its identification for a predetermined measuring time. If the UE successfully verifies the identification of the GSM cell for the measuring time, it reports the signal strength measurement and the verified GSM cell identification to the NB-TDD Node B. If the UE fails to verify the identification of the GSM cell for the measuring time, it reports only the signal strength measurement to the NB-TDD Node B.
