    Abstract: This document discloses a solution for configuring sub-frames in a cellular communication system. According to an aspect, a method comprises: allocating, in a network node of the cellular communication system, at least one set of available lengths for use in selection of a length of at least one of an uplink control part and a downlink control part of a sub-frame; selecting, in the network node, a length of at least one of the uplink control part and the downlink control part of the sub-frame, the length being selected amongst the at least one set of available lengths, the sub-frame comprising the uplink control part carrying at least one of uplink control information and an uplink reference signal and further comprising the downlink control part carrying at least one of downlink control information and a downlink reference signal; and causing transmission of a message comprising at least one information element indicating the selected length of the at least one of uplink control part and downlink control part of the sub-frame.

    Abstract: An example implementation includes determining, by a user device, that the user device is a low-latency mode user device; receiving a downlink data block in downlink subframe n; determining a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for the data block; determining, by the low-latency mode user device, an uplink subframe n+k at a HARQ feedback offset of k subframes from subframe n, and one or more uplink HARQ resources for the uplink subframe n+k reserved for the HARQ feedback from the low-latency mode user device; and transmitting, by the low-latency mode user device, the HARQ feedback via subframe n+k and the one or more uplink HARQ resources.

    Abstract: When triggering a user equipment (UE) to send a reference signal (SRS) the network configures the UE with multiple parameter sets, each having a timing indication. The UE's resource allocation grants multiple uplink (UL) subframes and identifies/selects one of those parameter sets. The timing indication of the selected set identifies one of the granted UL subframes, in one embodiment by counting only among the allocated/granted shortened UL subframes. This triggers the UE to send SRS in that identified shortened UL subframe. In one embodiment if no UL subframes in the grant are shortened this triggers the UE to send SRS in a subframe previous to an the allocated/granted multiple UL subframes. The same mechanism can be used to trigger feedback reports such as aperiodic channel state information or block ACK/NACK reports, where the different UL signaling being triggered is requested in the network's resource allocation to the UE.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for supporting communication of critical data in a cellular system are disclosed. Upon determination of communication of critical data in a first cell a node of the first cell generates a signal including information of reservation of radio resources for said communication of critical data. The signal is communicated from the first cell to at least one second cell to reduce interference on said radio resources. A node of a second cell receives the signal and manages interference on said radio resources based on the signal. This includes prevention or limitation of use of said radio resources in the second cell when the second cell is not involved in communication of critical data.
