摘要: For controlling data traffic in a mobile network a first detector (110), a first controller (160), a second detector (120), and a second controller (170) are provided. The first detector (110) detects data traffic of a certain type. The first controller (160) determines a dedicated bearer (54) for transmission of the detected data traffic. The second detector (120) detects a packet flow in the data traffic. The second controller (170) takes a decision whether the detected packet flow can be admitted to the dedicated bearer (54). The decision is taken on the basis of traffic load information (135), e.g., as determined by a load monitor (130). The second detector (120) further marks data packets of the detected packet flow according to the decision.

摘要: A method is described for controlling the conformance of a data flow in a communication system to a traffic definition. The communication system comprises a transmitter and a receiver and data packets transporting the data flow are sent from the transmitter to the receiver. The receiver sends responses identifying received data packets to the transmitter, and the transmitter comprises a control function which controls the number of sent data packets for which no response is received according to a limit for the number of outstanding data packets. A conditioning criterion is obtained for the data flow, the conditioning criterion being associated with the traffic definition. The receiver determines a conformance parameter for the received data packets transporting the data flow. The limit and/or the sending of the responses is modified according to the conditioning criterion and the determined conformance parameter for controlling the number of transmitted data packets.

摘要: In order to allow efficient differentiated handling of network traffic in a network section, a network address translator performs network address translation on incoming data packets to be transmitted into the network section and/or on outgoing data packets transmitted from the network section. In the incoming data packets, the network address translation replaces a source network address with a replacement network address. In the outgoing data packets, a replacement network address is included in place of a destination address, and the network address translation replaces the replacement network address with the destination network address. In each case, the replacement network address is selected according to a traffic class of the data packet. In the network section, differentiated handling of the data packets on the basis of the replacement network address is provided.

摘要: For efficiently handling network traffic via a fixed access, classification of UL data traffic in a communication device (100) may be accomplished in a reflective mode by detecting identifiers of outgoing uplink data packets which are complementary to identifiers of incoming downlink data packets. The downlink data packets are already assigned to the traffic classes (50). The outgoing uplink data packets carrying the complementary identifier are assigned to the same traffic class (50) as the incoming downlink data packets. For this purpose, the communication device (100) is provided with a traffic classificator (110). In the reflective mode, the traffic classificator (110) locally generates uplink packet classification rules (115) by monitoring received downlink data packets.

摘要: For allowing differentiated handling of network traffic, a message (301, 307, 309) is received by a traffic type detector (100). The traffic type detector (100) extracts a network label, e.g. a domain name, a hostname, or a network address, from the message (301, 307, 309) and compares this extracted network label to one or more stored network labels. On the basis of the comparison, adaptation of a quality of service level for a forwarding treatment of data packets associated with the message is initiated, e.g. by controlling a bearer used for communicating the data packets.

摘要: A system and method for configuring a Traffic Flow Template, TFT, in real time. The present invention dynamically adapts the TFT to control the routing of downlink data packets from a GGSN to an MS. When the MS sends an uplink data packet on a premium bearer channel, a TFT controller extracts from the uplink data packet, parameters which include at least the destination address of the uplink data packet. A downlink packet filter subset for filtering downlink data packets is then defined as a function of the extracted parameters. For example, the downlink packet filter subset may identify downlink data packets having a source address that matches the destination address of the uplink data packet. The TFT is then modified as a function of the downlink packet filter subset to route the identified downlink packets through the premium bearer channel to the MS, and to route differently, downlink data packets having source addresses that do not match the destination address of the uplink data packet.

摘要: A method for associating a data packet (DP) with a packet bearer (PB) in a user equipment (UE1) of a communication network is proposed. The packet bearer (PB) transmits the data packet to a communication entity in the communication network. The communication network comprises at least one control entity to exchange signaling information with the user equipment. The user equipment comprises at least one executing unit for executing one or more applications which create the data packet, a packet marking entity for marking at least one control field in the data packet and a transmission unit for sending the data packet on the packet bearer. After setting up the packet bearer between the transmission unit and the communication entity, a first signaling of filter parameters for defining a packet filter is received by the user equipment. The filter parameters correspond to a packet marking. A second signaling of the packet marking from the control entity is received by the user equipment and forwarded to the packet marking entity. The data packet is marked with the signaled packet marking. The packet filter corresponding to the filter parameters is established for scanning data packets forwarded from the executing unit to the transmission unit and is associated with the packet bearer. The data packet with the marking corresponding to the filter parameters is forwarded on the associated packet bearer. A corresponding mobile network, control entity, user equipment and computer program are also described.
