    摘要: A contact sub-assembly is provided for an electrical connector. The contact sub-assembly includes a printed circuit and an array of mating contacts. Each mating contact includes a terminating end portion and a mating interface. The contact sub-assembly also includes an array of circuit contacts that is discrete from the array of mating contacts. Each circuit contact is engaged with and electrically connected to the printed circuit. Each circuit contact is separably engaged with and electrically connected to the terminating end portion of a corresponding one of the mating contacts such that the array of circuit contacts electrically connects the array of mating contacts to the printed circuit.

    摘要: A jack assembly is provided and includes a jack housing and a contact sub-assembly joined to a rear end of the housing. The contact sub-assembly includes a plurality of conductor channels that each hold an insulation displacement contact (IDC) therein. The jack assembly also includes a connector cap that is mounted to the jack housing and is formed from a non-conductive material having conductive particles dispersed therein. The connector cap has a body arranged to at least partially cover the contact sub-assembly. The body has an inner surface and a plurality of crosswalls projecting outwardly from the inner surface. Each crosswall has a gap and is positioned to be inserted into one of the plurality of conductor channels such that the IDC fits within the gap.

    摘要: A cable management system includes a patch panel having a rear connectivity interface configured to connect with cables, and a cable support bracket. The cable support bracket includes a cable support plate configured to support the cables connected to the rear connectivity interface, an arm extending from the cable support plate, and a bias mechanism. The arm includes at least one arm portion mounted to the patch panel and a locking finger movable with respect to the arm portion. The bias mechanism operatively engages the arm portion and the locking finger and is configured to move the locking finger between a biased position and a released position. The locking finger engages the patch panel and secures the cable support bracket to the patch panel in the biased position, and the locking finger is disengaged from the patch panel and the cable support bracket can be removed from the patch panel in the released position

    摘要: An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing having a mating end and a cavity extending from the mating end. The cavity is configured to receive a mating connector through the mating end. The electrical connector also includes a contact sub-assembly having an array of contacts. The contact sub-assembly is received in the housing such that each of the contacts are exposed within the cavity to engage the mating connector. Each of the contacts have a beam portion and a tail portion, and each tail portion includes a base section joined to a leg at a bend. The legs extend downward from the mating interfaces in a staggered pattern to form first and second sets of legs aligned in different first and second planes.

    摘要: An electrical connector adaptor for use with cable assemblies has been provided. The adapter comprises first and second contact sets and a housing. The housing has a first mating face configured to join with a mating connector and a second mating face configured to join with a cable assembly. The first and second mating faces retain the first and second contact sets in different first and second patterns, respectively. A strain relief is formed extending from the housing. The strain relief projects beyond the second mating face and is positioned such that the cable assembly rests against the strain relief when the cable assembly is joined to the second mating face. Optionally, a securing member is configured to secure the cable assembly to the strain relief.
