Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an uplink grant that schedules uplink shared channel transmissions of a first length. The UE may then determine the actual lengths of the transmissions, which may differ from each other and the scheduled length (e.g., due to conditions of the communication environment, such as the location of slot boundaries). The UE may also identify uplink control information to be multiplexed on the uplink shared channel (e.g., when the scheduled transmission overlaps with a control channel or based on an uplink grant for the uplink control information). The UE may multiplex the uplink control information on the uplink shared channel so as to maintain the same rate-matching scheme and the same coding scheme for each of the transmissions, and transmit the uplink control information in at least one of the transmissions.

Abstract: A method of wireless communications by a transmitting sidelink user equipment (UE) includes transmitting a sidelink synchronization signal (SL-SS) within a sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB). The SL-SS has an SL-SS pattern with a reduced number of physical sidelink broadcast channel (PSBCH) symbols, which may be zero PSBCH symbols. The method also includes receiving transmission in accordance with the SL-SS. The SL-SS may be transmitted at a time and/or frequency different from a legacy SL-SS.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A device may receive a grant that schedules a set of sidelink occasions associated with sidelink communication from the device, and that indicates a set of uplink occasions for indicating feedback associated with the sidelink communication. The device may transmit a sidelink message during a sidelink occasion of the set of sidelink occasions, and generate feedback information based on the transmitted sidelink message. The feedback information may include an acknowledgement (ACK) or a negative acknowledgment (NACK) associated with the sidelink message. The device may transmit an uplink feedback message including the feedback information during an uplink occasion of the set of uplink occasions. The feedback information may include an indication of the ACK or the NACK.

Abstract: A UE may identify slots to transmit and/or receive information related to one or more HARQ processes in frame structure that includes both sub-band full duplex slot types and time division duplex slot types. Based on a first slot used for control information, a UE can identify a second slot for PUSCH or PDSCH communication based on an offset between the first slot and the second determined by calculating slot offsets (e.g., based on parameters received from a base station). In some aspects, a UE may exclude certain slot duplex types (e.g., SBFD or TDD) when calculating slot offsets. In some aspects, a UE may calculate slot offsets differently for different HARQ processes corresponding to one frame. In some aspects, slot offset behaviors may be based on priority of information associated with a HARQ process.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a sidelink bandwidth part configuration for a plurality of sidelink carriers, wherein the sidelink bandwidth part configuration configures one or more sidelink bandwidth parts for each sidelink carrier of the plurality of sidelink carriers. The UE may identify at least one selected sidelink carrier selected from the plurality of sidelink carriers and an active sidelink bandwidth part for each of the at least one selected sidelink carrier from the one or more sidelink bandwidth parts configured for the at least one selected sidelink carrier. Abstract: Power control in new radio (NR)-to-NR dual connectivity communications is disclosed. A UE, compatible for NR-to-NR dual connectivity, may receive a transmit power configuration and a power allocation configuration. The transmit power configuration identifies the designated reserved power for each of the cell groups participating in the dual connectivity communication. The power allocation configuration identifies to the UE whether to operate access to excess transmission power by either mode 1 rules, which may introduce phase discontinuity into ongoing transmissions, or mode 2 rules, which use a look-ahead functionality to trigger joint determination and allocation of transmission power among known uplink transmissions over a given transmission duration. After the determined transmission power allocation has been made, the UE transmits the dual connectivity transmissions according to the determined power.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In one example, a base station may dynamically configure a user equipment (UE) to monitor or avoid monitoring for a preemption indication. Accordingly, the UE may have a lower chance of monitoring for a preemption indication when it is unlikely that an uplink or downlink transmission will be preempted. In another example, a base station may transmit a control message indicating whether future indications received from the base station are to be interpreted as preemption indications or permission indications. Accordingly, the base station may choose to use either preemption indications or permission indications (e.g., based on the probability of collisions between mobile broadband (MBB) and low latency transmissions) to facilitate MBB and low latency communication multiplexing with limited signaling.

The methods, systems, and devices may enable a base station to determine an operation state for a user equipment (UE) that corresponds to how the UE applies a preemption indication. The base station may indicate the operation state to the UE using a parameter of a configuration message. The base station may transmit a grant indicating time-frequency resources scheduled for the UE. The UE may identify a priority of a channel associated with the scheduled resources. The base station may determine a number of scheduled resources to be preempted or canceled and may indicate these resources to the UE using a preemption indication. The UE may determine remaining time-frequency resources based on the preemption indication, the priority of the channels, the operation state, or a combination thereof.
