摘要: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a check fixture for measuring the accessibility of a lower car seat anchor to a user installing a car seat, and methods thereof. One embodiment of a check fixture comprises a body having a rear end and a front end, the body defining a longitudinal axis. The front end comprises an anchor-engaging structure and the rear end comprises a force gauge interface. The fixture also comprises a flange at least partially circumferentially positioned around the body at a longitudinal position a distance from the front end. The flange includes a bearing surface substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, the bearing surface sized and configured so that when the front end is moved into engagement with the anchor, the bearing surface engages the seating material adjacent the access aperture. The engagement of the flange with the seating material generates a reactive force.

摘要: A tap having a body, a horizontal inlet, and primary and secondary downwardly-extending spouts, the tap having primary and secondary flow paths. The primary flow path is adapted to dispense a bulk portion of beverage and includes a horizontally oriented primary valve having a primary valve stem and a primary valve seal. The secondary flow path is adapted to dispense a foamed portion of beverage and comprises a flow restriction for inducing turbulence in a beverage flowing through the secondary flow path to produce foam, the secondary flow path including a horizontally-oriented secondary valve with a secondary valve stem and a secondary valve seal. The primary and secondary valves operate independently and have valve stems sliding on spaced apart axes. The primary valve is operatively connected to a handle oriented perpendicular to the horizontal inlet, such that, rotation of the handle in a substantially vertical plane causes the primary valve to open or close and actuation of the secondary valve, for example, by pushing a button operatively connected to the secondary valve stem, causes the secondary valve to open or close.

摘要: An integrated test framework is disclosed that allows software testers to easily generate and execute tests of software involving multiple interacting computer systems. A copy of the integrated test framework resides on each computer system in the test. The integrated test framework on each computer system supports the independent testing of software on that system and also the synchronization between the computer systems. A test manager is provided to coordinate the synchronization. All the information necessary to direct the test framework on each of the computer systems is included within a single test script that is propagated to and executed on each computer system. The test script dictates the role of each computer system within the test and includes role specific actions and identifies points at which the computer systems must synchronize together for the passing of data, messages or other communications.

摘要: A tap suitable for dispensing a gaseous beverage comprising a body, a horizontal inlet, and primary and secondary downwardly-extending spouts, the tap having primary and secondary flow paths. The primary flow path is adapted to dispense a bulk portion of beverage and comprises a horizontally oriented primary valve, the primary valve comprising a primary valve stem which is axially-slidable relative to the horizontal inlet, between closed and open positions and a primary valve seal, the primary downwardly-extending spout being positioned downstream of the primary valve, such that, in a closed position of the primary valve, beverage entering the horizontal inlet is prevented from flowing through to the primary downwardly-extending spout. The secondary flow path is adapted to dispense a foamed portion of beverage and comprises a flow restriction for inducing turbulence in a beverage flowing through the secondary flow path so as to produce foam, the secondary flow path comprising a horizontally-oriented secondary valve comprising a secondary valve stem and a secondary valve seal which is axially-slidable relative to the horizontal inlet and a secondary valve seat between closed and open positions, the secondary downwardly-extending spout being positioned downstream of the secondary valve, such that in a closed position of the secondary valve, beverage entering the horizontal inlet is prevented from flowing through to the secondary downwardly-extending spout. Wherein the primary valve is operatively connected to a handle oriented perpendicular to the horizontal inlet, such that, actuation of the handle in a rotational manner in a substantially vertical plane causes the primary valve to open or close and actuation of the secondary valve, for example, by pushing a button operatively connected to the secondary valve stem, causes the secondary valve to open or close.

摘要: A drug delivery device includes a contact lens having an optical axis and a plurality of discrete drug delivery zones asymmetrically disposed about the optical axis. A weighted area is provided in the contact lens for maintaining a presence of the contact lens upper hemispherical region in position with an upper hemispherical region of the user's eye. The asymmetrically disposed discrete drug delivery zones are positioned in the upper hemispherical region of the contact lens.

摘要: A retail store network comprising a cash register, server, and hand held optical reader for reading a bar code symbol of an item and generating a decoded out bar code data message. The hand held bar code reader has an electrical connector and a wireless transceiver. The optical reader can be used with a base unit also having an electrical connector and a wireless transceiver. The network is configured so that the hand held bar code reader and the base unit have one linking mode in which the address of the base unit is sent to the hand held bar code reader through their respective electrical connectors. The linking process is completed by way of wireless communication, including the transmission of the address of the hand held bar code reader to the base unit. The hand held bar code reader further comprises circuitry to allow the optical reader to also operate in a linking mode where it can link with other devices that it cannot physically mate its electrical connector with, but can initiate the linking and complete the process wirelessly.

摘要: A sign comprising one or more elements of indicia for storing light energy and discharging light. The element of indicia may have a thickness of about 3/16″ or otherwise in the range of about ⅛″ to about ¼″. The resin composition includes photoluminescent resin and a polymer resin providing light conduction and light storage properties. The resin composition may comprise about 35%-40% photoluminescent resin and about 60%-65% polymer resin. If backlighting is included as part of the sign the resin composition may instead comprise about 25% photoluminescent resin and about 75% polymer resin. The resin composition may be a thermo-plastic, thermo-set casting or molding resin.

摘要: Provided are several apparatus and methods to attenuate illumination light in a projector. Illumination light may be attenuated by directing polarized light toward a liquid crystal (LC) attenuation panel. The panel selectively modulates some, all, or none of the polarized light passing through. The light from the panel is then directed toward a polarization device. The polarization device analyzes the polarized light, and allows or denies the light to pass therethrough based on the polarization of the light.
