摘要: Reliability is evaluated in constructing a component based-on application and an application for realizing reliability required can be constructed efficiently. A run-time history such as an occurrence frequency of errors, a recovery time required at error occurrence, and a processing capacity at preventive maintenance is added per software component to a run-time history list having been recoded per execution environment such as an application ID, combined component IDs, and executed hardware ID. From these pieces of information, an interval of performing preventive maintenance recommended per software component during system construction is calculated. By comparing reliability per software component and reliability required for the system, advisability is determined and conformance is evaluated. An execution schedule for preventive maintenance and a processing capability are calculated about the entire component-based application created by combining the software components. By calculating the reliability and the processing capability in the entire system to be compared to those required for the entire system, advisability is determined and conformance is evaluated.

摘要: An image recording apparatus has a recording head, a transporting passage, a paper support section, a pair of discharge rollers and a reverse-transporting mechanism. The paper support includes a main supporting member and an auxiliary supporting member disposed on the upstream side of the main supporting member. An opening can be formed between the two supporting members. The pair of discharge rollers can be rotated reversely, and one of the supporting members can be inclined. This makes it possible to transport backward, through the opening to the reverse-transporting mechanism, a recording medium with an image recorded on one side of the medium. The reverse-transporting mechanism leads the medium to the transporting passage and transports it again toward the recording head. Having a small number of parts and a simple structure, the image recording apparatus enables double-sided image recording.

摘要: There is provided an image recording apparatus which includes a head; a carriage capable of reciprocating in a main scanning direction of a paper; a maintenance section of the recording head; a pair of rollers for transporting the paper; and a motor for driving the maintenance section and the pair of rollers; and in which when the carriage is at a maintenance position, the rollers in the pair are separated away from each other. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce an electric power consumption of the motor during the maintenance work, and to reduce noise generated from the pair of rollers at the time of maintenance.

摘要: A flat platen is provided in an image forming apparatus having a side edge detector that detects a side edge of a recording medium to be fed in a predetermined direction. The flat platen has a surface on which the recording medium to be fed is supported and is disposed facing the side edge detector. The side edge detector has a light emitting device and a light receiving device, which are disposed such as to face the recording medium. The side edge detector detects a side edge of the recording sheet while moving in a direction perpendicular to the predetermined direction to emit light from the light emitting device. In such a flat platen, an anti-reflective treatment, which reduces or prevents light led to the light receiving device from the light emitting device through the reflection on the surface, is applied to the surface of which corresponds to at least a vicinity of a side edge of a standard-size recording medium.

摘要: A variable gain amplification circuit can increase a dynamic range without increasing an offset voltage. The variable gain amplification circuit amplifies an input signal by a desired gain. An amplification circuit amplifies the input signal by a predetermined gain based on a bias current. A bias current control circuit controls the bias current based on a level of the input signal. The bias current supplied to the amplification circuit can be reduced when there is no input signal, and the bias current increases as the level of the input signal increases. Thus, an offset voltage can be decreased while a sufficient dynamic range is maintained.

摘要: In an overdischarge detection device which is connected between positive and negative load current lines for connecting a chargeable electric cell with a load and which comprises an overdischarge detection circuit including a voltage comparing section for detecting that a cell voltage of the electric cell falls below a threshold voltage to prohibit discharging operation, an adjusting circuit connected to the overdischarge detection circuit detects a particular voltage of a specified part that corresponds to a load current varying in response to relative weight of the load to adjust the threshold voltage on the basis of the particular voltage. Preferably, the adjusting circuit may be constructed so as to clamp the threshold voltage when the particular voltage is higher than a predetermined voltage.
